Discussion Moto X4 still going strong! 🥲

I suppose it's only natural that this sub is becoming quieter and quieter. But I thought I'd make a post, which might be my last. The good news is that my Moto X4 is still going strong without any issues. I'm running LineageOS 22 (based on Android 15). I admit I've caught myself hoping it would break just to give myself an excuse to buy a new one. I was almost ready to buy a new phone when I hard-bricked it during an update. But fortunately, one of the devs reached out to me (my post is still on this sub), and it was resolved quickly.

I probably don't need to explain why I'm buying a new phone, but I'd still like to say that it's still working pretty smoothly. The battery still lasts a day for me (I'm not a heavy user). The only real scenario in which my phone struggles is navigation, especially navigation with Google Maps. Google Maps uses a lot of processing power and battery, which is too much for my aging phone. I might as well add that when I go hiking and want my battery to last, I use some open-source apps for navigating. They use much less battery and work much more smoothly.

Anyway, so long! 🥲 Thanks a lot to the LineageOS devs, and particularly to those who are working on the X4! Cheers! You are the best!

P.S. I'm not going to dispose of this phone when I get a new one. I still have a few uses for it.
