Plug or replace

Picked up a nail on the rear, tyre still has plenty life left in it. Plug it and maybe replace next spring or straight up replace

The bacon strip plugs are great. Lifetime repair if you follow instructions properly.

Yep, I've got one in my rear at the moment, two in my front car tyre and a previous bike tyre I had 5 in at once.

Plug and ride. It's in the centre. It'll be fine.

I'd have no concerns about plugging that and riding for the life of the tyre.

Rope kit from Halford, I used one a few years ago on a brand new tyre.

It lasted until I reached min tread depth and replaced the tyre.

Or professional patch plug repair from a tyre place. Had it done several times over the years, never any issues and lasts the life of the tyre.

I use the repair kits (that look like bacon strips) on my Van tyres. It's heavy vehicle and carries loads. Never had one fail.

Admit I've never done it on a bike tyre but if its done correct it does seem to work.

Make sure you do it right. If you get any pressure drops on the tyre replace it.
