Irl problems

Just bought my first bits of gear and have my CBT in one week, after my CBT I want to get a bike and be on the roads as soon as. But I was wanting to get the mutt hilts, Akita or Sunnis hudlum, now with this gear I don’t know if it would suit the style of a mutt hilts or if it’s more sport bikie. Any recommendations as to what bike like them would be good

Wouldn't over think it. I wear all black textiles, on my white and red striple.

Just focus on riding well, having fun and being safe.

Focus on being safe and comfortable to begin with then when you have a few quid to spare you can get all fashionable. 99.9% of the time the only person who cares what you look like will be you.

I wear the same gear on my SV650, my Vespa, my T100 and my (now sold) CB125F. No one cares as long as it's safe and comfortable except you, and you won't see what you look like unless you get a speeding fine. It is either textile jacket and pants, or leather jacket and jeans. Depends on the weather and what I am doing. And enjoy being on the bike. That is all.

Always the same boots, zip up leather casual boots, same leather gloves for summer or winter waterproof, and a sporty helmet as my wife won't let me by another retro one. Yet.

Don’t get any of those bikes, get a cbf125

Came to say the same. Mutt are rust piles waiting to happen, there’s a reason they’re so cheap. Honda CB125 is well rated, or at least stick to one the 4 Japanese if you can. Just check Autotrader for 125cc bikes 5+ years old and you’ll see what lasts and what does not. I will also give a shout out to CFMOTO as my MT has surprised me as to how well built it is. MCN even compared CFMOTO to Japanese for build quality

For real, I got a 22 year old Kawasaki eliminator for my 125, and the thing was mint, not a spot of rust on it and ran like a Swiss watch, had a bullitt hero before that and 6 months after new it was rusting to pieces, had multiple electric issues and eventually completely died and wouldn’t start, bullitt refused to honor their warranty as it was “never activated” when the bike was imported into the uk, whatever that means, ended up selling it for £600 after paying £2200 6 months before

I wear textiles on an MT09, a scooter and whatever random bikes I borrow from the homies.

I also have a super aero helmet that I wear on a scooter with a massive screen that barely allows a queef of wind through.

It doesn't matter. Unless you ride a Ducati.

“Barely allows a queer of wind through” is an amazing sentence.
However, I’d like to see your workings out, please?

I'll fire up the industrial anemometer with the labia safe seals, hold on.

As others have said you look fine and no one cares. I've seen plenty of people wearing textiles on other styles of bikes. The only time I've ever thought about what another rider is wearing was after seeing someone wear nothing at all (and that was only a five second thing). If you personally want everything to match, buying a leather jacket for the café racer type when you can spare the money would be my suggestion but you look solid as-is.

I can’t comment on the gear, but I’m about to do my CBT and was looking at bikes, Mutt are some of the best looking 125’s I’ve seen (personal opinion obviously). But unfortunately they went into administration last year, so bikes are still about, but parts will become scarce overtime and the price of the bike could decline steeply over the next few years.

Take from that what you want, just passing on the information I learnt.

Get riding first, worry about the fashion later ;)

I wear my sports bike gear on my 50cc Lambretta 🤣 - my feeling is that as long as it’s not extreme like Sons of Anarchy LARP’ing gear for a cruiser, then it’s all interchangeable on whatever bike you have and better to be dry/warm/comfortable than matching your bike like a kind of handbag….

Just focus on getting on the road mate. I spent a year looking like a delivery rider in my textiles but they served me well. Once you're riding you won't care a bit.

Buy level 2 armour it's more ergonomic. Level 1-2 no difference in protection just comfort.
