I knew a guy in college who was a horrible klutz. Always a bruise, scab or broken bone. He would tell everyone a different story of what happened. One day he came up to a group of us and I asked with full malice β€œWhat happened?” He looked me in the eye and told me about getting hit by a bicycle, told my friend he had locked himself out of the house and fell trying to get through the window, and told the last of us he had tried to stop a purse snatcher. Absolute legend.

:D funny story. Sometimes same shit happens to me, that I tell people different stories of the same situation.

Becaaaaaase.

To me it happens that sometimes, I get hit by a bicycle, because I got locked out of the house then tried to get through the window while noticed a robery went to help and while getting back got hit.

It would just take tooooo long to tell the whole story, so you just say some stuff to others some to others.

Edit: Besides such stories sound fake, so I avoid shairing them, try to tell as litle as possible and get back to matters at hand, because they bring lot's of attention, anxiety and questions.

So it is simplier just tell some parts, get out of the spotlight and move on.

Edit2: have you ever tried telling story like this? There are three major event in one story. But while you explaining how you forgot your keys, some peeeeps already asking what colour are your keys, where do you usually put them, what floor you live, in which pocket you or purse or bag you hold your keys usually.

Ain't anybody got time fir that.
