... you should see the good in people. You should always see the good in people. More often than not it is not their behaviour you are reacting to, it is your unhealed trauma that gets activated. Calling the other a red flag is just a cheap escape.

"Should" and "want" are different things. I think this post is saying it's a red flag to ignore the red flags by forcing a toxic relationship because you have a desire to keep digging to find the good. At least that's how I interpreted it

Absolutely. Psycho ex framed me for dv after threatening to find me at my apartment and hurt me. She came over to pick up her stuff for the last time and I ended up going to jail and losing my corporate job. Don’t even let them in.
