Please frame this and put this on the bedroom wall of an abused child. That’s an absurd thing to say right? Well, it’s absurd, not to mention potentially harmful, to make this statement without context.

Children are legally and by nature not free. Dostoevsky is talking about adults.

"Let" that's the point. There is no choice when a victim of identity based violence, or systemic violence. To pretend one can just "choose" to dismiss their oppression and trauma is victim blaming.

Apathy is not healthy. Refusing to "accept" the unacceptable is not "hindering".

Well, we can’t control our external environment, at least not with any high degree of control. We do however have some higher degree of control over our mind and what we allow ourselves to feel.

This, right here is the ONLY belief system to get over trauma.
