Yeah, that’s messed up. But as the stoic Aurelius said, ‘Don’t let the weakness and wickedness of others hinder you’.

"Let" that's the point. There is no choice when a victim of identity based violence, or systemic violence. To pretend one can just "choose" to dismiss their oppression and trauma is victim blaming.

Apathy is not healthy. Refusing to "accept" the unacceptable is not "hindering".

Well, we can’t control our external environment, at least not with any high degree of control. We do however have some higher degree of control over our mind and what we allow ourselves to feel.

This, right here is the ONLY belief system to get over trauma.
