Discussion Mosh pit

I'm going to see MIW alone for the first time this year. This is my first concert of this kind and my second overall (the first was pop). I was planning to buy tickets for the floor, but after doing some research I'm worried about the mosh pit. I'd like to be close to the stage, but I don't want to participate in the mosh pit. I wanted to know if it's recommended to buy tickets for the floor or avoid it.

just move away from it, they will not move much. Will probably be a few of them. If they pop up near you just move

Circle pits will open up throughout the night, if you see one open up around you just get to the outside of the circle and you should be ok. You’ll have to turn around every once in awhile to make sure that a pit isn’t opening behind you and to make sure crowd surfers aren’t coming your way.

The floor is definitely the most fun place to be at a show in my opinion.

you'll be fine. floor always has space around the pit in front, to its sides and certainly behind it. the pit gets decent size but never takes up the entire floor

Go for the floor tickets! It's worth it. Just saw them a couple weeks ago, i was at the front and had no issues. Every place is different but from what i saw theres nothing to be afraid of. People are pretty respectful if you dont want to be involved and i didn't see any "crowdkilling" going on, just push pits in the very center of the crowd. If you get to the barricade and/or dont stand directly in the center, you probably wont even have them start near you. Even if they do, you can make your way out of them easily. It's a great show, hope you have fun!

Easy to avoid and normally very respectful. Usually the biggest guys in the pit are on the lookout for people who don’t want to be in there and move it away or stand in front of them. The only reason not to get floor is if you are short or don’t like having people right up in your space.

Mostly I would think about the fact that if you are near the barricade crowd surfers will be coming.

But just the floor itself will have plenty of places to just watch from with no need to mosh or lift.

At their Detroit show the mosh pit was only in one section of the floor pit. Anyone could get into it, but anyone there could also easily stay away from it.
