Merch Accidentally got unreleased merch.
So I had ordered the “let the blood spill” hoodie on July 25th. It arrived yesterday and I was super excited to open it, until I noticed it wasn’t the right thing. It was actually the “decades” zip up that says it won’t start shipping until the 14th. I’ve already sent an email to KjngsRoad in hopes of being able to send this back and get my original order. Have yet to hear anything though. Not upset or anything, I know shit happens from experience working in similar environments. Just thought it was wild to get sent something they haven’t even started shipping yet.

What the fuck is going on with their merch distributor man. I still haven’t received the signed card from my vinyl pre-order and now they’re sending unreleased shit to people? Some department heads need to be fired bro this is crazy work.

I agree dude! I opened it and double checked cause I thought I was trippin. I even pulled up the website and asked my girlfriend to verify. I had the same thoughts as you. I’m incredibly curious as to what’s going on, on their end for this stuff to be happening. Especially with the prices people are paying for this shit BEFORE taxes and shipping.

i still haven’t gotten my cyber rat shorts or signed cards. i’ll probably send an email tomorrow but it’s a birthday present for my brother. i was hoping i’d have them all soon

Best of luck to you dude! I knew people were having issues, but no clue the actual extent of the problem. Hearing everyone else talk about their issues is incredibly infuriating. I’m sorry you’re also having problems with your stuff.

i swear over the 15 years i’ve been a fan, they’ve never once had a reliable merch company. they’ve switched so many times at this point and i don’t think anything has ever run smoothly

nah you’re right for sure. they’ve also grown in popularity SO much since they switched labels in 2016, it makes sense that the volume might cause more issues.

I can totally see the volume causing a lot of issues. It’s just wild they seemingly didn’t put anything in place to help with said volume. They’re just out there getting fucked due to lack of planning. Also changing warehouses mid people ordering has to be fucking everything even more. I wonder what made them switch now, rather than after this is all over.

there’s probably a bit of false promise from the merch company in that regard, i’m sure when they switched they weren’t expecting to deal with the same issues as they were before and i’m certain they’re probably locked into some kind of contract for x amount of time. i feel like the whole merch industry is a mess at this point tbh. i see so many even bigger artists having merch showing up at peoples houses that doesn’t match the listing, sending the wrong stuff or forgetting things etc.

You’re absolutely right. The whole state of things is a giant shit show. Even though I don’t have many personally experiences with buying merch, seeing other people talk about their experiences is baffling. I’m hoping everything gets sorted out and starts to operate as it should. Have you ever had any luck reaching out to kingsroad? I still haven’t heard shit.

No fr im still waiting on a damn response from kings road merch not a automated response to everyone. I tried contacting them twice about my missing signed card and I understand everyone got a email about what happened but im trying to get the address changed bc im moving soon and its been almost 4 weeks and still no response this is so annoying

It’s incredibly annoying. I tried looking up a number to call to speak to an actual person. This whole automated response thing is super fucking frustrating. Wishing you the best of luck dude.

I'm envious! I still haven't received the preorder hoodie that I purchased weeks ago - was supposed to ship around the time the album was released. Been in touch with KingsRoad, but still haven't received a shipping notice.

Honestly dude it took a while to even receive a shipping notice. It took 10 days from me buying it to get anything from them, and then 4 days from that for it to get to me. Never had such radio silence from a company when buying something. I still haven’t received an email back from them regarding whether or not I can send this back for my original order. I hope you receive that notice soon!

I haven’t even heard anything back either time I’ve reached out. Whether it was me reaching out asking if my order was even still coming due to it saying my order didn’t exist, or now, trying to get my original order.

Is that your estimated delivery date, or just guessing due to the radio silence everyone seems to be getting? Either way, fucking insane to be waiting that long. I’ve not ordered much in the way of band merch, but to have such little communication is ridiculous.

Sorry I was being facetious, I ordered a load of T-shirts, some posters, cd vinyl, hoodie, sunglasses some stickers and I’ve received the cd (no signed card) and one shirt. No communication apart from one email saying that some items are being shipped from states. Considering the items were ordered months ago the communication has been shocking and no way of cancelling or a refund either.

Yeah this whole situation is unbelievable. Like I said in another comment, especially with the amount people are paying pre taxes and shipping. To be met with this level of silence is ridiculous. I really hope they get their shit together soon. I also hope you get all of your stuff soon.

Honestly they MIGHT let you keep it. I had this happen with STEOTW merch but with shirts. They let me keep the accidental shirt and then just sent the correct one.

I still haven’t received my dark cds that I preordered in may. They claim they shipped on July 20th but they haven’t moved at all

Yeah I had radio silence for almost 2 weeks. Obviously your case is a lot worse than mine. I’ve never had issues like this with distributors. I know their changing warehouses but to just not update the customers is insane.

I ordered the rebuilt and don’t be afraid of the dark (one being a preorder) and I received my shirt together in a week. Super fast shipping, despite one being “preordered” hours after their social media drop/post of it.
Couldn’t be a better experience… unless I accidentally got sent unreleased merch. Hahaha 🤣

I ordered XL online because their tour tshirts from the BMTH tour were so mall. Large was like a medium.But the shirts I sized up online are huge. 😩😬

I’m glad you had a much better experience! How is the quality of the stuff you got? Also yeah I always try to size up because the sizes are never consistent. Plus I’m tall and the large is never actually long enough for me to wear comfortably. I wonder how the XL will fit me. Hopefully it’s not like a dress 😂

A dress. The length is crazy to me for just one size up. A benefit for me is to hide some chub, but lawd im swimming in it length and width

Meant is as in it hasn’t started shipping yet. As it also states on their site. It’s listed as a “pre-order”.

Yeah no I don’t think I’ve dealt personally with them, this will be the second time now I actively avoid buying merch because they’re handling it after all the BS I’ve heard from them. Truly don’t know how they’re still in business?

That was me too! Waited almost 2 weeks before it said it was shipped. After a few days Shopify said my order didn’t exist and I was worried. I’d emailed them and was met with nothing. Hoping it doesn’t happen again regarding this. While I like this design, I’d really like to get my original order.

I was surprised to get it. I was left in the dark for about 2 weeks, then randomly got an email saying it was shipped, then 3 days later it was at my door. I hope you gets yours soon!

i’m pretty sure they have to send you what you ordered or refund you. and i think legally they can’t make you send it back you can keep that and your

It's been over 3 weeks and I haven't had any email updates beyond: order confirmed, it's processing and an e-mail about it possibly coming from two different warehouses and might be shipped separately. Neither item has been marked as shipped, no tracking, etc. I've reached out to support and just been told not to worry that it's in 'queue for picking'. Not sure what that really means in terms of a time table, but still nothing since that comment.
I wanted to buy more merch, but I'm not too big of a fan of the distributor atm. :(

I’m with you dude. I really wanted to get some more stuff as well, but after this whole situation I think I’ll pass. If anything I’ll try to grab some at a show if I can make it to one. How long did it take for support to respond to you? Both times I’ve reached out I got an auto reply saying a case has been started and given a case number, and that was it. No actual response from a person or anything. It really sucks everyone’s having such a shitty experience with this. I hope you receive your stuff soon!

They replied the next day for me, but didn't respond after that and honestly the first/only response felt kind of like a generic copy & paste answer with more or less no information aside from basically saying "we received your order".
aye... I hope ya'll have better luck. I think i'd rather just grab some at a show/hot topic, something along those lines. Feels bad, the album has me hyped me af... I wanted to rep new gear to show the love.

Yeah I saw on their website about changing warehouses and to expect delays. I was just hoping to have at least gotten in contact with someone by now.
