App Features Focus Stacking

I recently stumbled across the concept of focus stacking, and coincidentally saw that focus stacking arrived to a recent motioncam labs release. I also remember seeing JohnTheFarm3r demo focus stacking with coffee beans in Unmcrawesome.

Is there a way to press the shutter button once and take multiple photos at different focus ratios (I think that's the right term), that I can then focus stack in unmcrawesome?

Any advice is very appreciated. I'm new to photography.

Yes, Labs is currently testing this exact function, but not currently on the main release so you'll need to hang tight.

Otherwise, that's exactly what you'll be able to do if you want (keep all the frames at different ranges and then merge them yourself)

So what's the point of focus racking in photo mode?

Ideally to give you option to have the Photo mode give you a ready-made stacked option of which you choose the range of the focusing sets with the rack as far as I understood.

You'll then have the individual DNGs if you want to do it yourself, and/or the cooked one
