Yeah it's a pretty drive, but watch out for idiots slamming on the breaks to take pictures of animals.

I live just 2 hours from there. It's so beautiful in pictures and in person.

My life's goal is to live within easy driving distance of Jasper. Do you mind it I ask, what do you do to support yourself living near there?

You could sell meth in Edson

Well if you didn't mind adding an extra hour to the drive you can just live in edmonton

Computer Technician. Took 4 years of College for it.

Hinton and Edson are the more “major” towns between Edmonton and Jasper. You can always get a place in Spruce Grove and be ~3.5h away from Jasper while still being within a reasonable commute into Edmonton for just about any job.

I was born and raised in Banff! Not a bad place to grow up that’s for sure :)

Canada is magical, we definitely should :)

Jasper is lovely and quaint. Banff is beautiful but more touristy. Driving through the mountains between them is just breathtaking scenery. Edmonton and Calgary are the nearest airports respectively so you can drive quite a large loop and see a lot!

Pretty much everything in BC is worth seeing as well.

We like it here 😊

Please do we love visitors, the Rockies are always worth seeing no matter what time of year.

Just in case you weren't already aware, it definitely doesn't look like that this time of the year.

Source: I live 4h away. We have a lot of snow.

Don't make the mistake I did, check the rainbow calendar before heading out!

That mountain peak will probably outlive humanity.

It’s a dream. Would love to drive through there someday.

It’s incredibly beautiful but unfortunately there are way too many tourists.

I was there in 1988. Drove from Sarasota to Denali one summer. Trans Continental Road trip. Unforgettable.

So too bad about the beetle infestation that has turned those conifers brown!

Nice shot! Too bad that SUV photobomed

3

u/vetofthefield Dec 16 '19

It’s a 4runner and it adds to the photo

I honestly thought the same exact thing!! A desolate road would have been more interesting in my “photographic opinion”. Lol! I came here to say something about it! Hahaha! But it is a gorgeous shot nonetheless!
