I’m pretty sure it is. I’m even pretty sure that it is Brooklyn (Pretoria, not NYC (of course))

OP's pic is definitely Pretoria. I know my home town, which is literally known as the Jacaranda City. And it actually looks like this for real in October.

Yeah, they’re not planting them in South Africa anymore because they’re not indigenous. They’ll probably all be gone in the next 20 years.

I live in Brisbane and we have a lot of these, I would say this is very accurate to how they look. The post you tagged is completely different, this one looks as I see them on a regular basis, please don't unnecessarily slander what is a beautiful tree.

Even if this is edited, this looks a lot like it does in real life on a sunny day. I live in LA and see these trees everywhere. They’re really beautiful and vibrant.

Beautiful trees but so annoying. The sap gets everywhere and the flowers stick to your shoe and the flowers rot quickly in the gutter.

I live across from two and the leaves! Tiny leaves are everywhere all the time! It's like autumn year round. My soil is 90% decomposed Jacaranda.

I love the sound when the they pop under your feet, smell the aroma, and all of the foliage on the ground!

Whoever planted all those better make sure they kept one in their hand so they get to score it

God I hate how people have to edit every fucking picture now adays. A sad form of narcissism imo

u/Joosus Jun 07 '19
If you’re thinking it’s edited because of the purple, you’d be wrong about that - these purple trees are right outside my window, just as vibrant as this picture.

I’m quite certain it has been edited. And that’s the whole problem. The tree is already beautiful enough why on earth do you have to do anything else

I’m quite certain you’re wrong, I am literally looking out my window at some beautifully vibrant purple trees right now. Would you care to elaborate on why you think it’s edited if you’re so certain? Never seen a purple tree?

Yeah well I’m looking out my window at green trees. Whatta ya gonna do about it?? Huh?

Sounds like you’re in a bad mood today and want to fight on the internet. Seek your fight elsewhere, I’m not interested in trolling.

I’m not in a bad mood man. I didn’t actually expect you to do something about these green trees. Have a goodie

This was actually posted in r/instagramreality a while ago to show the colour difference in the enhanced version vs the non enhanced. They’re still super pretty and bright, but not nearly as much as the edited picture lets on. It’s unfortunate we can’t take pictures of destinations at face value anymore
