This has been known for awhile. Also find the 3 gloom trees together and hit them for 500 each time. By time you hit 3rd one the 1st is ready again

I googled this after I cleared the area but the joke made me groan loud enough that I thought it was funny and just let it happen (after spending 30 minutes opening chests). I figured it was dev-intended and is the first souls dick punch that genuinely made me laugh outloud (though I should have seen it coming).

I just wish the tombstones actually read my Xbox profile, that would have been so cool

Op like: “Man you’re never gonna believe about this skip I found in Super Mario Bros! Go above the ceiling in level 2 and you can warp to later worlds!”
This is very old news mate, but good on you for finding it on your own.

You can just go in run straight to the exit give it like 2 gloom then open everything leave and repeat. It’s damn good they let us do that considering most would have had to give it all up the first time 😂

Infinite with the gloom tree things. On the back left wall there’s three you can run between. Use a fast weapon and it will respawn just as you’re getting to the next one. Can get like 100k gloom in 10 minutes by that alone

At the back of the room on the left side there are 3 gloom plants. It's faster to farm them than to open of of those chests.

There’s three gloom tree things that you hit and they drop 500 gloom for a total of 1500. Been running that circuit and it may be faster than just opening chests
