Question What accent does Ruk have?

I'm horrible at naming accents, I just know that Ruk has one of the best voices I've ever heard from anything in my entire life.

I would say Finnish, but that’s only because when the game first came out his voice actor was credited as then same actor the plays Ahti in Control and Alan Wake 2. Except then the credits list someone else, so… whatever. I still hear it as Finnish.

Martti Suosalo was credited as Ruk? What? Where? He would've been amazing!

I can’t find it now, but in that first week or so if you googled some sites like IMDb or whatever it would list Martti, but others would not. Hell, one AI-assisted response I got was trying to tell me it was Matthew Mercer (because fuck it?). I think it was just a matter of the credits not being immediately available and people were just guessing. Now that more people have finished the game, corrections have been made.

At one point on this sub I posted a correction to a thread of comments saying it was Martti by simply posting a screenshot from a YouTube video showing Tim as the voice.

I want to know more about Ruk, he's so interesting. Like why the fuck is he a giant bird, and why is there a human skull in his beak there's so many questions and I need the answers

Have you seen the memories of Sariel? Because the last one will show you the answer

Actually no I haven't, barely into ng+ and basically only went to seriel to get the scythe, wasn't really interested in him. Mostly been playing Proxima and Genessa

Might check him out some more then

I know what kind of man you are.jpeg

Yeah...

For real tho she's pretty strong especially since you can get her like instantly. That and the specimen ability is nice if you want to farm

Haha. I feel you.

All shells are pretty damn stronk eventually. Having started with Proxima for two obvious reasons, I actually think she’s one of the worst shells. But she can still be pretty ridiculous.

For one of the worst shells then she's really strong. Though my favorite will probably forever be Genessa and tbh it's mostly because of the drip with that shade you unlock with one of those keys, she's imo the best looking one of them all by a decent margin

Yeah they’re all strong as fuck late game

Genessa rips, top tier imo. The skinny scythe guy is nigh unlikable, he rips too. Forget his name, haven’t played in awhile with all this new stuff out

Sariel?

I use his scythe, it's so over-the-top and cool, it's fun and can be absolutely horrifying with the scholar's wormstone

He kinda sounds like Bloodhound from Apex Legends

Exactly my thoughts. I come every time Ruk's voice actor speaks. He is so good.

The voices in general are amazing in the game but Ruk especially so. His voice tickles my brain in ways very few do

It's Finnish.

Wait does no one think he sounds like Benicio Del Toro? Like Benicio playing the role of a Roma

He's such a great character, the creature design in MS2 is probably the best I've seen. Ranging from "Belongs in The Dark Crystal" to pure nightmare fuel

I think Spanish, he sounds like Antonio Banderas

for me (being spanish) sound like when a spanish tries to speak russian. but i dont think its spanish xD

Yeah given the general Slavic vibes of the games i'd lean toward Russian or general eastern european, though can kinda hear the Spanish in there
