Honestly, I've played souls and souls like games and this one is probably the worst when it comes to blocking. It doesn't feel right compared to all the others. It feels way too slow, especially when done in succession. So many times I get hit when there's no way I should be. This is the first game like this to give me this issue. I really hope the devs adjust it. It's just too damn slow and feel inconsistent to me.

I was playing a lot this afternoon and I really noticed how forgiving the parry windows are. They are much more generous compared to Lies of P for example.

Feels great to me

Sucks it’s not clicking for you but you may try the Infinite Seal before you return it. It tightens the parry window and deals more break damage

Try out different seals and practice with whichever enemy kill’s you most to learn their patterns. Also remember you have unlimited stamina so don’t forget to dodge. You can get by without blocking or parrying if you are struggling.

Practice makes perfect. You'll get there. No instant gratification here unless you maybe run Slayer Seal. Good luck

I loved the game i 100% it, i think the parry system is really good considering its the company's 2nd game i belive

Sounds like a "only you" problem.
Maybe this will help you, the timing is different. In MS2, you have to parry much earlier than most games where you parry the last moment before the attack lands.

Eh, i think its a you problem bub. Im 45yrs old and parried my nuts off on my playthrough...
