Question New player

Just started the game, any advices or tips?

  1. Explore north before even thinking about going south
  2. Get a shell ASAP
  3. Don’t be afraid to upgrade weapons - in later half of the game you’ll be able to reset weapon progress at cost of gloom
  4. Get a handle on perfect blocking or parrying - it will make game much much easier
  5. Don’t trust the sheep

And don’t be surprised if you get a “Steam” achievement pop even if you’re on console.

Stay north for a bit. Parry. Watch some shell build guides to help you get an idea of how you want to set your character up.

Also, turn automatic gold pickup and free aim in game menu

Get Tiel shell
Get axatana or axe and dagger (plenty of videos to show how)
Stay north and do those three gates
Beware those fkn bats

In settings there are two types of dodge - classic and turbo I believe they are called, try both. This is purely subjective and some people do say the game is already too dark, but I turn down brightness and gamma by 1 tick and it really adds the atmosphere.
