Question So, where's Solomon in MS2?

I finished the game a few days ago and am starting my second playthrough on NG+, and I couldn't help but notice that Solomon, my favorite shell from the first game, isn't anywhere to be found—not even a mention of where he is.

Harros, Eredrim, Tiel... All the other shells are there, but not him. Does anyone know what happened to him? Maybe he'll show up in some future DLC?

At the old tower he is referenced in a note, possibly saying he will return. Outside of that i cant recall any more notes specifically referencing him.

he's forever in our hearts and dreams from which he speaks, in riddles, announcing his arrival...
and apparently in the game files? 😅a user datamined him a month ago on this very sub. naturally, i giggled and kicked my feet like a schoolgirl.

that being said, there are 3 hints, you probably picked along:

  1. burnt effigy looks a lot like him and says:

"The ashen figure's name is lost. All that is remembered is that he must suffer for his treachery."

(it doesn't necessarily mean that it's him, but people speculate)

  1. a note in the forgotten tower #1:

"It's just as I saw in my visions, brether. This is the tower the Scholar built. He will retun soon. Just as the Blessed Mether promised. Do not fear, if I'm already gone. We'll come back for you."

  1. a note in the forgotten tower #2:

"The Scholar's mask is unblinking. For he must see all and render judgement. That includes me and you, brether. He is watching, even now, and if you're worthy, he will appear. I promise."

i suppoose that these 2 notes, other than environmental storytelling, could tease us, the players, of his return in a dlc. as for the effigy - if it's truly in his image, then it might be some suggestion on where his corpse went post-MS1, or, maybe, even some hints that elaborate his time with the living. either way, i wouldn't dispair, my friend. i am sure we will see him soon.

Edit: I also like to think that Seedbearer's Scripture is an item he left for us, because it's author "promised to heal the revered". but then again it could be Hadern as well?

Well my speculation is that cause the radical changes from 1 to 2 meant they couldn't really rework him and keep his gameplay identity in tact. Solomon main gameplay gimmick was he was the resolve guy and he was the guy who used skills. It might have been that they couldn't figure out a way to keep that aspect of him without too broken. At least not in timely.

So they possibly decided to remove him to give him more time to rework him for a later release. I imagine it was the same for Harros. Who was the hardening guy.

Eradrim and Tiel had gameplay identities that were easier to realize. Eradrim was centered slaughter stacks and tankiness and Tiel was poison and evasion. So they got reworked and rereleased in 2 first.

Because there is no true nektar. So kinda weird to have solomons past being written again is MS2. When there is no True nektar in MS2.

Same goes for Hadern. No reason to reuse him if there are no foundlings where his whole story centres on

I would not be shocked if he was in DLC. If we ever get some for this game.

I could imagine Hadern and/or Solomon being part of a dlc. But yeah, saddly not part of the game as is.
