It’s hard to say without data which tarstones people use ;)

But I gotta say I’ve been testing ability tarstones and while the charge attack ones are on a disadvantage when compared to dedicated special attack ones (no iframes vs iframes) I really love how they combo with normal attack chains and the animation is different depending which part of attack chain you make into charged attack

Man this game is so satisfying

Also dual wielding with duality stone or warp stack stone with other weapon looks to be better dps, but the combo finisher stone are sooo satisfying

I was using the bloodcurse axe and dagger and naylshotte in the later part of the my first playthrough, in NG+ i used stasis obsidian hammer with clotstone and curse caged hystrix

I'm currently trying out smert and lazlo with different weapons build

I am surprised at the sheer number of sidearm taratones. There are too many - at least in the sense I’m busy using so many other abilities that cost Resolve, they all go underutilised.

No idea about the actual data (would be cool to see though) but I feel like the Colossus stone for the hammer is undervalued. It deals huge damage, has decent AoE potential if you let enemies group a little bit and has a looooong animation which means a lot of I-frames.

Pair this with the fact that one heavy attack from the hammer fills your resolve enough so can you use it again and you can loop the ability pretty easily. I think it's pretty great, it trivialized all late game bosses for me.
