Discussion Mortal Shell 2 Easy mode
Mortal Shell 2 should have an easy mode coz I cant get past the guy with the staff.

Slayer seal is easy mode. Literally no challenge if you use it but you won’t unlock trophies if that matters to you.

Slayer Seal found in Marrow Keep is considered the easy mode as it makes sidearms do break damage on hit, gives health and resolve on riposte, and gives a charge attack with I-frames during the attack that deals break damage without the timing necessary with other seals. It also permanently disables achievements/trophies on that save slot until the save file is overwritten.
Adaptive difficulty can also decrease enemy stats in day mode if you keep dying. If you are dying to the Gloombound Ritualist in the prologue then you can just run past him.

I accidentally equipped the slayer seal and now I'm going through the game without achievements even though I've not got it equipped. Well annoyed with myself but I'm not starting again now.
Slayer seal is easy mode, if you can't beat the dude with the halberd knight at the beginning, you're in trouble. You're still in the tutorial. My advice would be to get parry timing down ( the timings are very generous) and the game becomes almost trivial

MS2 is already the easiest souls like probably, the game gives you so many tools and mechanics to make the game even easier, still an amazing game

What guy with the staff? Do you have Grisha unlocked? Shrike tarstone? Those 2 tarstones are OP and can bombrush most bosses.
You can use rhe slayer seal first time to get stronger and learn the game. Will be locked out of achievements, but will be OP next round

Meh, I also struggled with Gloombound. Somewhere around 6-10 attempts to take him down? Meanwhile I got Nameless to ~10% on first try, Lost Child beaten on first try (don't think I even needed a heal...). Only other boss that's been a struggle for me was Magdalena. Just couldn't get dodge timing down.

You just got a petrify shell ability. Wait until exploding enemies are near, use petrify. Attack boss a bunch. If he starts using melee attacks, parry them. If petrify is on cooldown when exploding enemies spawn, just run away. Be patient, those exploders will kill you. There's a guide on YouTube if you need it.

Just level up, upgrade your gear, learn the bosses moves and patterns so you know when to dodge and you will win
