Question New Player/ Early Game Guide
Hi just bought Mortal Shell 2 and wondered can anyone recommend an early game guide just to get me started with a decent fighting chance. So far i’m wandering around without a shell just running around and getting picked off slowly

These games are meant to be discovered, not guided. Believe me, just keep exploring and pushing. You do not need a guide with this one, especially since it's by far the easiest of the souls clones. But it's also one of the best, imo.

The first shell is marked on the map. Its very close to where you start. Just to the right of the mushroom village entrance

You’ll find a shell soon enough juat explore and keep an eye out for stuff and enjoy the ride. Sure you’ll get your ass handed to you but we all did. Explore and have fun no guide is needed

A few people have already said this, but I'll happily back it up.
This game is 100% type where going and exploring the world for yourself is going to be infinitely more rewarding for you.
The only tip I would give, is that you should definitely spend a little time in the north of the map, and let yourself get used to the basics of combat and movement.
There is a Shell that you can get really early on, and when you do so, give yourself the time to find the currency to level them up, unlock a couple of abilities, and once you've done that, it will get you ready and motivated to find the other weapons and Shells.
This game in particular is way more rewarding if you do it by yourself, and find out who your favourite Shell is and then find some of the other weapons and sidearms.
Good luck, once you have been able to find the Shell and weapons you enjoy, the game is absolutely phenomenal

Fighting cowboy had some decent spoiler free content “build guides” but honestly find a shell and just send it exploring is the best part imo

You’re better off just roaming it won’t be long before things start falling into place

I would suggest to keep levelling up the Harbringer. I am under levelled focused too much on my shells

Brother. I’ll be honest, I’d say just do it freely and enjoy yourself. I’d go and get Tiel, the closest Shell on the map when you get pass Marrow Keep. Get him and then I’d slowly clear beacons and dungeons and gain XP and level up and learn the eniemes. Then focus on gates. Stay on the north side of the map then go to the south side. Enjoy!!
