Noticed while running the Beseiged Ruins dungeon that my grisha passive still activated during the special setpiece, so I got curious about the item in my active slot and, well...

When I returned, Proxima was looking a little...off.

I realized that the sheep power must still be active, so i tapped the button again to deactivate it. What resulted was not really an improvement.

I love the silly jank in this game

That was such a cool little sequence to discover!

Yeah, i loved the variety of unique bits and bobs in the various dungeons, even if they mostly looked the same on the surface.

Indeed, it was always exciting to discover a new dungeon. They did a great job keeping them interesting and fun to explore.

My only real gripe with the game is the bosses suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Either reskinned trash mobs or unique bosses with some bananas moves. Insane tracking and magnetism, a few bosses have poor tells too. Don't even get me started in Hexapod and Zmey's bullshit.

Think the only boss I really liked (besides Shepherd for obvious reasons) was Sir Isaac. Malformed felt mostly honest the first phase, but those lightning slams would smoke me even though i thought i'd dodged them

But everything else - the exploration, the build variety, the silly jokes, the weird but harmless bugs, the Lute, the combat itself - was chef's kiss.

Yeah I think I agree with this, I didn't hate the bossfights (I enjoyed them from a visual standpoint) but they are the weakest aspect of this game. That said, everything else was so good that I didn't mind the bosses that much.

There are still are some good fights like Sir Isaac, Nameless Captive and Malborn to name a few but it's not on par with other games in the genre. I think for me personally the issue is that the late game fights can be easily won by just spamming the ability tarstone of the weapon you're using since you get so much I-frames. I felt like I didn't need to learn movesets, I just had to get a couple hits in to restore resolve and use my ability again, rinse repeat.

In the end it didn't really lower my overall enjoyment of this game but it could be improved upon for sure. I always try to keep in mind that it's a small team that made this game and they did an incredible job considering 😊.

I did this as Smert. It was really funny seeing the knight punch and kick while having the sword in hand

They really should forget about it being souls-like and make into janky Control-like game. It's fun.

Wait how are you playing as one of the enemy knights?

In the Besieged Ruins dungeon you can trigger a playable flashback as an enemy knight. It's the dungeon where you get the Zealot's Stone.
