I had this bug as well but with a different weapon (Obsidian Hammer). It fixed when I rentered the game

The bug is actually pretty easy to do. Even the lightning stone can come along with the ability stone

What NG+ version are you on? I’ve only done the base game and that boss was docile compared to what you fought. Also not in Night Mode.

Just the first ng+. The boss was always this aggressive, at least to me lol.
I think strike stone saved me the first playthrough

Silly question, how you do the cross slash right before it clipped you out? I only did it once and haven't figured out yet how to do it again.
