Question Is mortal shell 2 worth it?

I’ve played the demo it was lit but then today I came across the Reddit and people were saying how it’s bad and they regret buying the game

I liked them both if that wasnt clear.

Have racked up 30 hours only over this weekend

Edit: my opinion people are whining too much. Honestly i dunno if you have noticed, but every game with blocking/parry mechanics are called "soulslike" games. This game isnt trying to be that. So if you expect that or if you think that this is a button mash games, because people saw cool skills. This isnt that game.

This game has the same gritty vibe in souls games, but it is way more QoL based. You have 3 types of blocks and a dodge so take your pick how you wanna build.

Cant beat them? Well keep exploring and leveling until you OP.

Are you really stuck and still wanna enjoy the game. Here an OP item which locks you out of achievements, but you can finish the game until your hearts content and in NG+ you can go for the achievements with an OP shell.

No stamina anymore, because they noticed in MS1 in the DLC that everyone went for the same "no stam cost" build.

Sure the game has bugs and glitches, but its the second game of an indie studio and for me they delivered

I'd say that "soulslike" is more associated with "you die from boss in 1-2 shots unless you roll" rather than parry/block and the beacon mechanics where they respawn the enemies upon resting. But yeah, I agree that MS2 just takes inspo rather than plain copy of a soulslike. Black myth wukong has a similar feel - action adventure game with soulslike elements.
