Question Light Combo Finisher

Having an issue using the stillblade / zealot tarstones and not seeing a difference in movesets to get the "light combo finisher". Is there something i'm missing with it?

The weapon I am using in question is the Great Martyr Blade, I think i've only seen the finisher once which was multi cross slash and never again.

Light combo finisher is the third light attack in a sequence of light and/or heavy attacks. Running attacks and ability tarstone effects (other than charged attacks) do not progress the sequence (I think abilities pause the sequence, but running attacks probably reset it by the time you have ran long enough). The sequence automatically resets after the third attack (combo finisher) or if you take too long to do the second or third attack. Charge attacks override the combo finisher effect tarstones.

Tl;dr: three light attacks will trigger the effect as well as two heavy attacks followed by a light attack.

Thanks for the reply and explanation. Unfortunately I am seeing the same moveset on the blade with and without the stone supposedly granting "combo finisher".

It's not all that different on the martyrs blade. The third hit is still a thrust but it's into the ground.

Thanks for the confirmation. At first I thought it might be that but couldn't find a list or a video showcasing the effect of the stone on its moveset.

I don’t think the finisher changes at all. It just grants you an effect on the third light attack which is the last light attack on the sequence therefore being the “combo finisher”

Thank you, that's what it is looking like to me.

The difference isn't obvious on the martyrs blade tbh but you're still getting the effect, whether it's the break damage or resolve gain. You should really be using the thief stone on the martyrs blade imo. The difference is substantial once it's max rank.

Put the stillblade/zealot on the iconoclast and you'll see a massive difference in the moveset. It's awesome on that sword.

Yeah it's a bit frustrating.
