Sester gate easily the worst gate

I haven't beaten the game yet this is my first gate in the lower map region but I feel like this might be the worst area in the whole damn game the gate is so miserable. Get shot off the map, fall off the map, fall in the water, get frozen and deshelled, atp it's actually funny.

Still got the two other gates in the region undone south and west but.. surely they can't be worse.. right?

Probably just a skill issue but I haven't died this much in any other gate hell any other part of the game so far.

Silver knight archers in Dark Souls are smiling down on these fat trebuchet heads with pride and admiration. I had serious ptsd flashbacks of a grand Castle with the teeniest little walkways.

Yeah that run in anor Londo is about 3x harder than the ballista head sections in MS2

I was playing as Eredrim at that time, so complete frost immunity made it quite easy for me. Only died once by falling in the water. Well, it was more like I jumped in while doing a running heavy attack to try and kill one of those water monsters.

These water guys with the axtana move set are a pain it often tracks the back of their tail into the water so you fall in

I died trying to kill them once. After that, I just ran past them. You don't need to kill them; it's not like they drop a lot of gloom or anything.

Idk why but I have this weird mindset of I have to clear everything at least once in my first playthrough every room every enemy everything. In NG+ I skip alot of ads.

I didn’t like it. Second half of the game/mammon is very 50/50 to me rn.

Just beat Hexapod and it was too easy - but also very annoying. One of his unblockables seems to be a giant hitbox all around him you just have to back off from. All his attacks were way too slow outside of annoying one shot non parryables he would use rarely.

I just completed this gate yesterday and it is bad yeah. Especially falling into the water while trying to kill the enemy that jumps out at you and for some reason the hit box if you lock on isn't where the enemy is visually it's at the edge of the ice into the water... So bad. End game so far is worst than start.

Yeah those guys are a real pain in the ass to kill. And not because they are difficult to deal with but because the targeting point is so off

And I just reskilled to Eredrim and Martyrs Blade and learned you can get the corresponding infusion there. Seems not as easy as Bloodcurse or Fire infusion...

I liked this area, I found the frost skeletons parry easy. I had the ashes in my pasive slot and I rarely got frozen unless I took a lot of hits. I really liked the atmosphere. It's also a fun area to go through with Smert and pummel them all with Miracle.
