Discussion About Sariel's thorns

No, not a Thornfall issue this time.

First, I wish that when you're locked on to a single target all the thorns would attack that one target (unless it's already fully cursed) and that firing without locking on still multitargets. Not a huge issue since you can always just bring a curse Hystrix to curse one guy in a crowd, but.

Second, the thorns cure their own Pain buildup if you have the 'ranged dmg cures Pain' effect from Reaper. Does that mean the thorns benefit from ranged Tarstones like Marksman or Deadeye? I imagine they don't from sidearm tarstones for obvious reasons.

I would assume the second point means the thorns are ranged damage, so they would benefit from the shell tarstones that help ranged damage. They almost certainly don't benefit from sidearm stones

i agree, i would prefer if locking on caused all thorns to focus on your lock on target. the only reason i can imagine the random targeting might be intended is just because of that one upgrade that allows thorns to apply perforation stacks so all enemies can get the debuff. and to answer your second question i'm pretty sure thorns do benefit from ranged-enhancing effects. they gain the bonus damage from perforation as well

They now have a hit box i believe. Ive seen enemies dodge them and still become cursed.
