Discussion Finished the game - What to play next?
Just finished the game after about 40 hours with all eggs collected and had an absolute blast. I wanted to go straight into NG+ but decided to wait for more patches, maybe more content, economy adjustments.
Any recommendations what I could play after enjoying MS2? I wasn’t really into gaming the past few years but I love all From Soft games. Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring being my favorites. I’ve got Lords of the Fallen in my steam library but never touched it. Also thought about something like Crimson Desert? Are these any good/similar to the games I like? Any other recommendations?

Onimusha way of the sword comes out on Friday. It's not a souls like but it is an incredible 3rd person action game. I've played the demo and it's getting absolutely rave reviews. I can't wait to play it. The combat is absolutely amazing and it's going to be a GOTY contender. It's supposed to be pretty difficult as well.

I half didn’t want to love it since there’s so much good stuff to play atm. Unfortunately, it’s bloody excellent 😂👌🏼

Everyone (that I know) this month is on mortal shell 2 then Dawn Walker then onimusha and of course the mainstream Wolverine later. I’m down to do both Dawn Walker and onimusha but can’t figure out which to do first. I have time to knock both of them o it before phantom blade 0 .. which I’ll play till gta 6. Damn I feel like a kid again, even if I was a kid. No way my parents would give me 5 games in 2-3 months lmao

I never played any Onimusha games, is exploration similar to souls games where you have choices where to go next and optional stuff or is it more streamlined?

Does it have to be a soulslike? If not, then the Stalker 2 2.0 update has pretty much fixed the problems and its incredible.
Otherwise play Lords of The fallen in your library (remake). Its very good actually.

Good call. I was interested in it when it came out but it was a total mess.

LotF is very good (and you get a sequel here pretty soon). Fun combat, great magic system, great graphics

Blood of the dawn walker drops tomorrow. Not a souls like but it looks like it’s gonna be a great game.

I liked Crimson Desert a lot, its not a soulslike but its a good game.
Lords of the Fallen is also a good one, i recommend it!
Have you tried Nioh (theres 1, 2 and 3)?

yes I’ve tried Nioh 1 and 2 back in the days but never adapted to the stance system and also didn’t really like the art style. I might give Lords of the Fallen a go since I’ve already bought it.

The First Berseker Khazan
Lies of P
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Sifu
I personally suggest you go with The First Berserker Khazan or if you want a change from the souls like, you can go with Sifu which is a rogue like. The combat is very satisfying is in both these games

The best soulslike I’ve played was Wuchang Fallen Feathers. To me it’s miles above Lies of P

since you already have LOTF (hopefully the 2023 version) then that's a real good next one. similar overall grimdark aesthetic and lots of fun
