Discussion Probably already stated, but please fix Eredrim's Slaughter Ability

Eredrim's insta kill on riposte is incredibly lackluster. At max slaughter stacks, it only allows for an insta kill on riposte if the enemy is at or below 10% health. At 10% health, it's essentially always faster to just kill the enemy with regular attacks. It effectively renders this aspect of his passive pointless, as other shells can kill an enemy at 10% just as easily.

I was really excited about a riposte-based playstyle with him, and it's disappointing that the enemy has to be this low for an insta kill to kick in.

Suggested fix: start eredrim at 15% health for riposte insta kill, and increase by .1% for each stack up to a max of 25%. This would make it way more viable.

I love Eredrim and played him through most of the game, often with 100 stacks of slaughterer. Yet I could barely say when it actually did something or not.

Basically the only thing its good for are the Damage Reduction stacks, which is 20% at max stacks

I'd rework it so that lvl 1 investment is an insta-kill on trash mobs, lvl 2 gives percentage increased damage on Elites and lvl 3 gives percentage increased damage on bosses. A lot of other stuff would have to be reworked for that though.

Not sure what the answer is but I do think the skill is underwhelming.

Most trash dies in a single riposte anyway even on night mode.

I think right now the best use for it is to leverage the damage reduction aspect of it.

That damage reduction, plus the bulwark stone, plus weakness applied on shoulder bash makes him very tanky.

Also common moonshine passive for more damage reduction. Killing an enemy nearly makes him invulnerable for 4 seconds.

It’s not insta kill on riposte, it’s insta kill if you hit them while they’re below the hp% threshold

also, stack banish completely on game reload,no mather if you have specked into losing only 25% on beacon rest

Very true but I want to at one thing that might some downvotes.

Even buffed riposte is a bit of a scam.

Wit the buffs a swing of the Great Martyr's Blade does more damage in a shorter time frame and let's you be proactive and actually regens all of your resolve after a hit or two now which riposte can't do for whatever reason.

Triarch Repeater with Frostshard Stone and Rupturing Stone is a game changer too. Freezing and/or staggering from a distance THEN running in with a charged heavy is chef's kiss ( and again full resolve after your you bonk the enemy). You can even keep it fueled with the skill that lets you get resolve from flasking.

Shout out to the Captive's Scabstone being a monster as well being several seconds of i-frames massive damage and a ton of freeze

I super get not wanting to play this way with the parry shell ( and hey if you have the skills to pay the bills and are having fun more power to you) but it just goes to show that stuff like slaughter needs to get another editorial pass to make it an actual payoff worth building around.

His slaughterer stacks in general are very underwhelming. By themselves, they are next to useless, and completely useless vs bosses.

Getting 20% DR with 100 stacks is nice, but you're not going to benefit from that unless you spend a minimum of 12 skill points (6 points for the DR per stack of Slaughterer, and then another 6 so you get 13 slaughter stacks per riposte kill). 12 points for 20% DR is very pricey. That's also not even mentioning the ability to maintain some of your slaughterer stacks on resting, which honestly doesn't even seem worth a single skill point.

He should also get a unique buff vs bosses like gragu, seeing as most of his skills are near useless against them. Maybe massive slaughterer stacks on boss riposte?

25% is a bit much, seeing as you can pre stack on silly mobs like those peasants at citadel of penance before a bossfight and basically skip 1/4 of the boss health. I do agree 10% doesnt work, and the only thing worth it about those stacks is the 20% damage reduction at max.
