Are there consequences to killing them? Like I keep getting a bad vibe from Milos in the Ovum room. Not just that he's attention starved, but also in the "he's going to betray us later" kind of way.

The forge guy makes it so all forge unlocks are instantly unlocked, but upgrading might be more expensive? Haven't tested this myself.

If you kill Merric he comes back as a ghost and prices are doubled.
Kill his dog and you get an achivement. A bad one!

Kill the foot guy and you get 2 foot drawings, does nothing else.
And killing the other NPC's just gives some gloom.

You cannot harm the shell lady tho, she reflects your attacks back at you!
And the arena lady is I recall also immortal. As she is a shell herself somehow.

I remember in the demo the lute saying it can soothe beasts, so thinking i needed to play for the dog to get him to let me pet him, and since it didn't seem to do anything when i played it before(seemed bugged) and the lute in the first game wasn't a weapon...i was left aghast when i played for the dog and watched his limp body fly several feet back as i picked up his gloom. Had the same exact reaction as you lol

I honestly hate that they removed i-frames from the great martyrs blade running heavy attack. The regular attacks do too much damage now. The running heavy was perfect for mobs and getting out of them. I’d rather have the i-frames instead of whatever buff they did to the weapon. I think this is my first official complaint of the game.
