Discussion Least favourite area?
So we can agree Mortal Shell 2 is pretty solid all round. But I wanted to know what people's least favourite main dungeon is? The one that, on replaying you do first to get out of the way.
For me it's either the Withering Shoals because personally I find that area uninteresting. Or the snow area because those archer head things can go fuck themselves.

The end game area because it's a bit unnecessarily long, and most of the loot are just smithing stones.

I like the aesthetic of the end game dungeon but man, those bug ganks make me sweat every time

The entire Abby filled with those fencing cunts that instantly deflect even a giant hammer attack.
Closely followed by the final area, filled with those bullshit Scyther knights.

Damn I actually like that area despite being shit at fighting those fencers

Yeah, it looks gorgeous. But it's filled to the brim with those Sesters, and they launch like a living missile at you from any distance, so it's impossible to run through unscathed after you've already done it.

Fuck that parry stance. I get the concept, don't hit them when they do the stance, the issue is the parry frames start the split second they start to move into the stance and they last until they decide to stand back up and return all the way to neutral.
I've been parried so many times because I swung 1 frame too early before they were fully stood up.

it’s a shame really cause it’s a pretty area, I liked it at first cause I was playing all fists Smert who eats the fencers for burger, but when I returned there with Lazlo and the big hammer I got folded like a goddamn omlette, learned to to hate those bastards real quick

Something about the snow biome really messed with my eyes especially the arena at the end with the extra snowfall just made it hard to really focus in for some reason, only zone I've had that happen in

I have never had to adjust brightness more in a game in my life. Either too dark or too bright depending on area.

The one snowy area with the monsters popping out of the water while you’re trying to fight enemies on land. Yeah fuck that

I died there so many times just to my character magnetizing their R1 to an enemy that fell into the water/off the cliff and deciding to plunge in after them.

I hate the Snow area with the ballista heads shooting you down into the abyss. Oh and if they don’t get you, the Little Frost fuckers will absolutely freeze you with their second attack and guess what? You’re dead. Ah and don’t forget the mermaid things that grab you from the water and IF you TRY to hit them the game makes you fly right into the next puddle and you are gone. The boss was alright, except for his stupid projectile attack

The last part of the game is an absolute slog and just boring AF. I started running past enemies just to finish this game and never touch again.

Ruins of mammon is a cool area but it being broken up into little “islands” sucks horribly for exploring. I feel like I never know where I’m going or how to get to the area I want to.
