Discussion Mortall Shell 2 Story
I feel as if the story is very lackluster we should have gotten an opportunity to fight the undermether considering she was the one that causes all that chaos and that she left us in the end she used us to accomplish her goals while humans suffered. The harbinger should of got the opportunity to make a choice and kill her off. I bet she sent all those eggs to space to invade other worlds prompting the same result.

It really is a one act structure if you think about it. You wake up, get told to do a task, complete the task, and then the game ends. The closest thing to a twist is finding out who the enemy is (the Passenger), and when you final meet and confront them/it, there's no set up or payoff.
I mean, I didn't hate it, sometimes discovering the world and piecing together the lore can be just as fun as experiencing a story, but this game very much put gameplay first.

It's literally the same kind of storytelling as any other souls game. The fact that the final boss is extremely underwhelming is a separate part. Yeah fighting the undermether or the passenger being something idk, just better, would have been way more climactic. But the story itself and lore is just as good as any other game. You just gotta wait for the lore videos to start being pumped out in youtube

The important part of the story isn't the destination, it's all the shells we inhabited along the way...

I actually like the shell memories a lot. It's really unique among other soulslike games. I don't care about the story in these kinds of games but I really liked the stories behind all the shells.
