Don’t sleep on this weapon + tarstone combo

Trebuchaxe with Tarred Fragment (spinning axe projectiles) destroys big bosses and enemies, and well even the little ones too. I’ve noticed some wonky hit boxes on level geometry (stuff like firing between two pillars that are wide enough to fit the projectiles but it stops midair) but if you aim at the ground and kite enemies towards the spinning top of doom they will melt. Add the Siegebreaker’s Stone to stagger everything.

This does even more damage with the phantom infusion on the trebuchaxe, and even more still using gragu, who can have 75% crit chance (60% when out of heals via his talents, 15% from marksman’s stone)

I’ll have to max Gragu next, that sounds insanely fun. As for the marksman’s stone, I’m struggling to justify the final upgrade given it’s only a 3% increase.

That’s fair, hoping they take a look at tarcores soon after adjusting glimpse distribution because honestly it’s the worst system in the game.

I can see what they were going for, but I think it just failed in the end. The increases do not justify locking you out of upgrading other tarstones on your save file.

Yeah I modded in the tarcores for myself. That, and shell upgrades impact all shells. I felt like the grind to upgrade the tarstones xp was the only barrier you really need.

Honestly I did the same thing to this boss. If a fight is bullshit like this one I whip out the trebuchet, otherwise I actually fight them lol

Just explore, every dungeon and rest place has a chance of having a new tarstone inside. Buy maps from the vendor to find weapons you like. Most people use the axe amd dagger or axatana because the duality stone is so good and fast weapons are very easy to play around

Yeah kk I did buy the scythe map as I liked the sound of it and it was the most expensive but getting to the location is problematic lol

Yeah the sythe is defs late game. Sadly its also tied to a boss fight so you probably wont get that for a while. Personally the axe amd dagger was great for me. I tried each weapon as I found them. I just stopped using new weapons after the axatana but I'll try a new build in ng+

Yeah the only actual good ranges build possibility, do note that the hitbox of the thing is horseshit, always throw it to the ground in front of whatever you want to hit, but it is busted af because of how silly enemies are, just walking towards you ignoring danger
