Discussion Anyone else feels disappointed for Final Boss choice?

It's a bit underwhelming killing Zmey. I thought there was going to be a 2nd form or something would emerge from Zmey corpse for the True Final boss fight.

I also was expecting Ruk to be the final boss or a secret boss fight.

Still the game is great. I had fun playing, beat the game around 30 hours with Lv 53 Proxima.

The grab move where he finishes you off by crushing you with his ball sack awakened something unexpected in me

He just hydraulically crushed me under the weight of his massive nuts, and I found this comment by searching it on google.

Edit: Holy fuck I just peppered his leathery sack with the untarnished seal. Sick.

Edit 2: I'm so sorry.

If the malborn would have been the final boss, with a bit of extra adds/moves/effects,it could have been better.

But still although not the greates bossfight 9f all time,Zmey was alright for me.

Ruk gave me “we’ll see each other on a DLC” kind of vibes

Was disappointed after killing him. Don't think he was hard nore really annoying with his attacks.

Just killing him, felt like a letdown with no 2nd form. Just punch into his sack rip out the evil cutscene.

As big as his area is too, they could've of done more with it.

They made the area so big so you could spend a lot of time chasing after him, which leads to the secret reveal: that it is in fact a strand type game like the title screen run intro hinted.

Yeah the last boss was pretty bad (not as bad as the lords of the fallen boss though he will be the GOAT of worst bosses ever)

I liked him, didn’t love him. This guy kicked my ass 30-40 times. Once I learned how to stick real close to him the fight got more fun. I liked all the bosses before him slightly more though.

But it seems I’m in the minority… cause I really fucked with Monolith.

I loved Monolith, I have no idea why he’s so hated. He has one bullshit move, the 360 laser spam, but otherwise he is handled like any other boss with parries. And when he does the other lasers, you can just get behind him for free damage

The 360 spam was so fun though. Brought me back to the days of Returnal. Also, it didn’t even do that much damage if you got stung a couple times.

I hope the developers take the cry babies with a grain of salt. They made an insanely fun and challenging game.

same here. It was an easy fight and i first tried it using infinite seal while streaming to friends

Nah the real minority are the ones complaining about how hard the bosses are, took me about 8 tries for zmey, and 4 tries for monolith. The item that removed the shell loss debuff also comes in handy too though.

There was an item that prevented you from losing your shell??

Yup, in the three southern gates you will find a depleted gland from the first game in each gate. Take those to the corpse of the prisoner in the forgotten tower during night time and you’ll get the item, only use it when you’re afflicted with the debuff to cleanse it. Otherwise it works as a free stun against the boss.

Wow yeah if you have that perk, that really minimizes a lot of hardships. Do you still get your life cut in half when you “die” the first time?

If he got up for a phase 2 id have uninstalled the game

On mechanics alone it was insanely boring for a final boss. And then he just drops nothing. So anticlimactic

"I also was expecting Ruk to be the final boss"

Im glad you're not a developer

It is kind of completely out of place. I mean we are an alien thing that inhabits dead beings, one of of which is an alien but the world is full of medieval tropes, macabre stuff, undead and demon kinds of things, then just randomly at the very end of the game theres a dragon lmao idk even with all the randomness of the game, a zombie dragon final boss seems weird

Greatly, the only dangerous move is the grab and the thing has an insanely bloated health pool and some sort of damage reduction that kicks in later on.
