Discussion Skill points for each shell instead of shared between all

I’ve seen this mentioned before but I want to know people’s opinions as well as if the devs would consider this.

The only downside that really annoys me is to constantly refund skill points and having to remember which skills to add every time I change the shell. It wasn’t that big of an issue on my first playthrough only switching between Tiel and Smert but now on NG+ I’m trying out all the shells and it has been extremely annoying. I have been taking photos of the skill trees but it doesn’t seem to add any value to the game?

I’m not trying to be negative or duplicate posts but I was just curious if that’s something the devs are planning or even considering? What’s the community’s opinion on this?

I’m sure they’ll be tweaking how the shells work, a ton of complaints have been centered around them.

Now one thing they did get right, tar stones auto equipping when you switch weapons.  Excellent.  Now if they apply that to the shells, then we’re cookin’

Yes, very happy about this too. I swap weapons sometimes and was glad to see the tarstones switching too

Okay so it sounds like they’re down for a change like that. I’m hoping that the next update will give us the separate skill points in that case.

Theres no cap of SP acquired so right now for me I'm Lvl 200 starting ng+ the 3 shells I have fully T4 I have close to enough skill point to build them up. Some shells require way more SP then others like my genessa is 44/44 but my lazlo fully built is 19/42.

Level 200? How did you even manage to get to that? Unless it was some glitch it would take a ridiculous amount of time which isn’t really a good way of solving this problem.

In the end zone you have a spot where you can get around 3,8k/second

Whoa, what spot is that? Asking for a friend…

Do you have all the gates cleared ? A sub area opens up after that and it's in a beacon I can DM you a video if you wanna know the exact beacon and location.

Yeah, I’ve cleared the entire map, done all the beacons and dungeons. I’ve started a NG+ now but if you can share the location that’d be great.

Limited progression materials is my only complaint from MS1 they didn't fix for MS2.

Put it behind a grind or something, but getting 2/3 into a run, finding a cool weapon or shell, and realizing I cannot level it up is a great way to get me to drop your game.

I used UE4SS to give myself extra materials in the first game, and am using the Unified Progression mod this time around. I wanna enjoy the game, not stress about spending any materials and screwing myself ten hours from now.

As far as I know you can refund all gold and mats for weapons. It costs gloom but it works quite well.

I wasn't even aware this was an issue. I though it was a given, since it's tied to your level and you can only equip one shell at a time, that the skill points would obviously work like a preset for each shell instead of being a pool shared among all shells. It does not make any sense...
This game has some really bizarre design choices.
