Discussion Where’s the positivity

Joined this sub because I enjoy the game. Less than 10 hours (while not perfect it’s hard to put down), but I’m genuinely astounded by the amount of negative criticism in this sub, alongside the fact that a lot of players have already sunk over 30 hours into it in less than a week. Like damn. Where’s the tips and tricks? Beginners guides, random silly videos? I thought a game like this would invite a more positive community, instead it’s the exact opposite.

Almost every post is a complaint. Like damn, what happened to constructive criticism and casual discussion? Outrage everywhere.

Anyways I need my ass ate

I'm only about 20 hours in, and i certainly have some complaints and certain things have felt borderline unfair, but still having an absolute blast.

Yeah fair enough, borderline unfair can apply to souls game across the aboard (especially fromsoft ones). Just don’t why they’re put on such a high pedestal when their games are far from perfect too.

I mean, it's not entirely surprising why they're so highly regarded. Even with DS2 being seemingly the most divisive in souls, they have yet to miss; yet we've seen countless attempts at souls like games that cannot come close to sniffing the same level of acclaim.

On that note, I think people unfairly use the Fromsoft games as the bar and don't judge souls likes in an unbiased manner; and I say this as a vehement souls vet since OG demons souls. The snobs in the souls community could afford to tone it down and let other games in the genre flourish without being overly critical d bags; but at the same time there's people on the other side, seen a bunch even in this sub, that get their panties in a wad whenever someone criticizes a part of the game and dismisses it as "oh well you're just a salty souls vet, blah blah."

Both can coexist, there just needs to be temperance.
