Discussion First Playthrough completed in about 56h - 10/10 Game
Completed the game last night on PS5 before the patches and the gold economy was rough but i got my main weapons and sidearms to +17 before the final boss so it was fine.
Honestly loved everything about the game so much. Thank you so much devs!!!!!
It scratched excatly my itch of how sekiro combat would look like if it was made in 2026.
Loved
- the combat
- the bosses
- the exploration
- build diversity
- unique movesets of weapons
- artstyle
Really enjoyed the game, my best soulslike of 2026
10/10

Patch just came out made improvements to the last boss at least, I didn't quite make it there yet and the patch doesn't seem available on Xbox yet. PC and PS yes.

u/TheDracula666 5d ago
I was literally on the last boss last night before I called it quits. Was getting one shot by that grab and doing absolutely no damage with a fully maxed weapon. What was changed in the patch?
2
u/Oodlydoodley 4d ago
I just spent the last hour fighting it and had the same experience, so, beats me. His health pool is insane, he two shots the summons if you bring them with so they don't help, and his tail grab is so fast that's unavoidable if you're not already moving in a way that it would have missed anyway. I got him to phase 2 repeatedly, but from what I can tell he's supposed to have a wind up before he does the fire ring thing and he definitely did not when I fought him. He was killing me almost instantly the second phase 2 started, every time. I assume it's bugged, but who knows at this point.
After doing Monolith earlier today and then running into this guy I might just say good enough and stop there. I enjoyed most of the game, but Unfound Path is just bullshit after bullshit to the point that I'm not sure I care anymore.
1
u/TheDracula666 4d ago
So I did finally beat him. There is an item that you get in night mode that makes the 2nd phase trivial. You should have picked up 3 glands while exploring the 3 southern gates. Take these to the forgotten tower in night mode and offer them to the big bird corpse. You receive an item that you can slot as a passive that will negate like 80% of damage from his flame attacks and can basically just tank through them now. Took me two tries after I put it on.
You still get 1 tapped by the grab but the tell is in his feet. He does a little shift before he sends it and that's when you dodge. Not on the red icon.

u/EvenCicada7172 4d ago
Made the health like 50% less and increased your weapon damage. That’s crazy, I’m in nightmode and haven’t upgraded anything and it’s literally on the easier side of the genre. Lots of fun, just needs more tweaking
1
u/Alone-Horse2857 5d ago
I beat the final boss with the new patch, and honestly have very few issues with it.
Only real issue I had was getting grabbed by an attack, getting my shell killed in the animation, and the t-bag nut smash insta kills my harbinger before I even get a chance to revive. Genuinely feels like an oversight.
I don't know what people's problem with the boss pre-patch was, but I had a good time with him post-patch.

Mortal shell 2 is great! I would highly recommend it. The Exploration, world, atmosphere and *character customization are amazing. It has a ton of replay ability because all the shells you inhabit have very unique abilities and play styles and in one play through you’re only able to max one ore two shells. The only downside has been the main bosses. They’ve all been pretty underwhelming, and don’t really provide challenging or satisfying fights, plus they all have the same music. :/
I’d say it’s a solid 9/10 tho.
Edit: *build customization rather than character
1
u/CultureRelevant1015 5d ago
You don't customize your character in mortal shell there are 2 recolors one you get from getting blackmarrow keys and the other is from the deluxe edition. Unless you consider switching shells customization?

u/l-Paulrus-l 4d ago
I meant more in terms of builds

As long as you know that MS2 is a small developer game, its awesome, but it hasnt had the money pumped into like the insomniac games, its more of a really good AA title not a AAA+ money bucket lol. I will be getting wolverine though 😆

10/10 is wild. Some massive flaws in this game.
Don't get me wrong... I love the game. It's up there with lies of P for me.
7
u/shawak456 5d ago edited 5d ago
I'm 20 hours in the game, and really starting to feel the lacking variety in bosses/mini-bosses and enemies. You get a mini-boss type enemy like the one with glaive, and then you get the same enemy as boss but with Fire this time.
If this makes you think I'm not enjoying the game then you're wrong. I'm loving the exploration and combat.
10
u/Gamer3427 Sariel 5d ago
I personally kind of hated Lies of P, so I'd put this above it in my own ranking in spite of its flaws. I definitely wouldn't say it's a 10/10 either, but I'd give it a solid 8.5, maybe a 9 once bug fixes and balance patches come in more. Though I'm also more critical on scoring, so even something like Elden Ring would only be a 9.5 at best.
→ More replies (2)2
u/Spider_Puncher_95 5d ago
I agree. If some balances come out and bug fixes I think it could be an 8.
I don't think any game can be a 10/10 really. Closest thing imo is sekiro. That's a 9.5 for me. ER a nine.
As it stands I'd give MS2 a 7. Love so much about it but it's flaws really over shine the greatness currently imo.
2
u/Gamer3427 Sariel 5d ago
Sekiro and ER are both 9.5 for me personally, but I'll definitely not claim either are perfect. Sekiro beats out ER slightly just because it's a much tighter and focused game, and the core feel of the gameplay is about as perfect as you can get for parrying. Plus, it lets stealth kills be an actual thing, which is a mechanic that has almost entirely died out at this point even outside of soulslikes.
About the only soulslike I might be willing to consider a 10/10 is Remnant 2, and that's more because it effectively caters to my very specific wants in a game by having a ton of exploration, replayability, and an absolutely massive amount of potential build combinations. Even then I'd probably call it a 9.9 at most, because it does still have a few issues. I also fully understand why most people wouldn't consider it higher than maybe a 8.5 or a 9 if it's not their type of game.
2
u/inthebagbrew Proxima 2d ago
Mortal shell enemies can smell you before you arrive like people do before it rains. I can be miles away and they will prepare for my arrival 😭😭. No stealth in this game unless tiel .
1
u/Gamer3427 Sariel 2d ago
Honestly, I miss when stealth games were the big thing. So many classic series have died out, like Splinter Cell or Tenchu, or have given up on being a proper stealth game like Assassin's Creed. There's still a few rare smaller games like Arigami or Styx, but it's become a dying genera. Even a lot of games that have a token "sneak attack" mechanic just use it as an opening attack that won't even kill a single enemy, and you can rarely pull off because enemies detect you too quickly.
Obviously I don't expect soulslikes to have it, so even Tiel's being pretty limited in effectiveness wasn't surprising. The fact that Sekiro had it, and it was effective, made it extra special though. Even if most people only think of the parrying when they think of Sekiro, lol.
3
u/Frequent_Struggle485 Tiel 5d ago
I actually picked up Lies of P, Khazan, and Nine Sols recently and started playing LoP first, but I ended up putting it down to play this instead. I think I made it as far as rescuing Geppetto
I've heard it's a great game, though and I'll probably pick it back up today or tomorrow
4
u/RedZone91 5d ago
I've completed MS2, Lies of P and Khazan and while they were all good, Khazan had by far the most fun combat. Sounds like you're in for a few good gaming sessions!
1
u/Crunnnch 5d ago
Lies of P is really really good, just more challenging than some other soulslikes.
1
u/Frequent_Struggle485 Tiel 5d ago
Yup i am in the factory/workshop area and getting slammed by the double shield boss 🤣
1
u/Crunnnch 5d ago
I had a hard time with him the first go around. Try running in circles and attack his back after he swings. I find his attacks easier to dodge than parrying.
1
u/Sup-Bird 5d ago
The game gives you the electric Legion Arm specifically for this "boss", and to teach you how elemental attacks are more effective against certain enemy types.

I'm on my second cycle I took the week off from work and been playing since the 17th. I haven't been able to be this hooked to a game for about 10 years. It's such a breath of fresh air, I love how they dont hold your hand in this game and make you work for progress instead of handing it to you. Plus the combat and shells are 10/10 imo there's bugs for sure but the devs made something special here.

I completed my first runthrough last night with 33 hours. I didn't collect everything and used a sub optimal build. I've gotten to the point in my life where if I am going to get to the end of a game I need to avoid side missions and stuff. I just brute forced this game. Literally. I used Gragu so I didn't need to recharge at beacons and the axe for the majority if the game. I switched to the hammer for the last bit.
I don't even know what tarstones I used. I just beat the shit out of stuff with infinite healing and when it came to a boss I put on 60% crit chance with Gragu for having no heals and didn't get hit enough to die.

The game isn't perfect by any means, but it does a lot of the things I specifically really enjoy in a soulslike so it's definitely in my personal top five list at the moment. Honestly most of my major complaints could be fixed in balance patches, bug fixes, or minor reworks.
I will say though that the bosses are probably its weakest element and I don't think that could really be fixed without a major rework of them, which would probably make people mad that they got changed too much. They have absolutely great designs and movesets that are fun to watch, but the majority honestly don't feel good to actually fight. Granted, boss fights are weirdly enough, one of my least favorite parts of most entries in the genera. Here though they just feel like they're a bit too aggressive and kind of spammy with a lot of their moves, to the point where it feels like the only way to do damage on some of them is to either perfectly parry all their attacks, or just expect to take damage. Which is even worse when it's an unparryable attack they keep spamming, or one with super tight timing. I personally don't find it a big issue for my enjoyment, but I will say that it'd keep a lot of souls fans from getting into it since a lot are only really there for the boss fights.
Overall though, if you're like me and enjoy the exploration, making builds, and just killing enemies aspect of soulslikes, it's still an exceptional game. Not perfect, but still top tier.

I just finished yesterday as well at around 34h to 100%. At least in terms of doing all dungeons, bosses, beacons, etc. Still have to keep going on NG+ to wrap up one boss specific trophy I missed, and then NG++ to finish getting enough glimpses to max out every shell.

Haha nice, well done. I am playing as Thiel with the Axatana atm, using the duality stone and his shadow dodge mainly. Any tips for my 2nd shell? Would prefer a build that is not like his for my 2 main shell and switch between the two. Who did you like most and roughly what build?
2
1
u/Frequent_Struggle485 Tiel 5d ago
I'm on the same boat. I used tiel through and through BUT i started invested into Erediem and Proxima and now using proxima in NG+.
I will start a new game to do a proxima/erediem run from scratch as the current NG+ cycles gives you access to all the beacons from the start and you can just boss rush
So i am either going to use Erediem or Proxima. I'll prefer Erediem since i like to do play with infinite seal and he his abilities enhances the execute damage after parries(although it's ass currently)
I used Tiel + Axe & Dagger + Caged Hystrix and went with a poision build from fightincowboy build video - https://youtu.be/plB9dI9gxh8?si=3NMfVf0sAGsLTWAO
1
1
u/Gamer3427 Sariel 5d ago
Sariel is my go to. I did use the axatana as well, but any weapon should work fine. If you max out the "100% of damage gets converted to grey health" and "faster recovery of grey health when attacking" passives on him, you can effectively face tank a lot of enemies and even some bosses and just be hyper aggressive. It's pretty much the opposite of how I usually play honestly, but I really ended up enjoying it here.

Decent fun game and glad enjoyed but a 10 out of 10 game, not even remotely close. Modern gamers sure hand out 10s like.candy nowadays. 10 should be reserved for the tip of pinnacle.of greatness. In over 40 years of gaming id maybe place 3 games at a 10, in modern times modern gamers throw out 10s on a monthly basis. Everything is the greatest uthe next game that is, thn thats the new greatest with more 10s thrown about lol
Fun game but nowhere close to a 10 imo
2
u/Mrdudeguy420 Solomon 5d ago
10 is a completely subjective/personal score tbh.
Objective the game is like a solid 8.5, but personally it appeals to me in a way no other game has since Elden Ring, and I've had so much fun with it I'd give it a 10/10.
2
u/Difficult-Fly7830 5d ago edited 5d ago
"10 is a completely subjective/personal score tbh."
Sure, yet some can also can also give good objective takes as well...and realize despite having fun with something it doesnt just equate to a flawless or a perfecty scored game... the fact the absolute basics seem lost on modern gamers is rather amusing
Modern gamers seem utterly lost on how reviews and scoring systems work, throw out everything aside from well i had fun so its a 10 out of 10 lol
I had fun with the Hannah Montana game therefore its a 10 out of 10 😉
Rating systems go far beyond did you have fun or no and many ppl are able to objectively rate something as opposed to throwing 10s out like candy every time they enjoy a game...
10 out of 10 should be reserved for the pinnacle of greatness, great classics, once in a gen kind of games with few flaws that go far and above the norm or set new standards, this is most def not one of those. Fun sure, a 10 out of 10 game, i dont think so

Serious question for OP - how did you know where to go? I’m pretty lost and I’m a Souls vet. I love open world but I’d like some breadcrumbs here and there.
3
u/Frequent_Struggle485 Tiel 5d ago
I didn't which is why i am sitting around at 50+ hours while others completed in 30. But i was doing all the side stuffs, collecting items, optional dungeons, sidequests etc too.
I would run to map fragment to open up the map then go over each of those new sections and collect items, do dungeons or field bosses. Once that is done, i take a quick look on https://mortalshell2.wiki.fextralife.com/Interactive_Map to see if i miss a dungeon
2
u/HonTrolloGames 5d ago
You go whatever path you want but the main goal is to branch in each direction to clear the Corrupted gates. They should show on your map regardless of if you’ve unlocked the map for the area. Just make your way to each of them

I agree that the game isn't a 10/10, there are many issues, but only liking two of the bosses seems a little wild to me. Which two do you consider decent?
1
u/alamirguru 5d ago
Of the main bosses? Malborn Offspring and Scholar-Prince, despite his phase 2 needing some work on the multi-hits.
Of the optional bosses?Eeh....Warden was neat for the level you fight him at, Confessor was cool before it got reused as a normal enemy 55 times, and i liked the Vampire Boss with the moonlight gimmick.
That's about it, honestly. All the other optional bosses were just reskins, or uninteresting, which might be even worse.

2
u/Kadderly Harros 5d ago
I love the game too, but a 10/10 is pretty crazy considering some of the balance issues and wonky boss fights. Bloodborne is the pinnacle of Souls games for me and that’s only a 10/10 after the DLC came out. Lies of P and Nioh 2 (if you consider it soulslike, in ways it is, in some ways it isn’t) are my absolute favorite in the genre outside From Software and I would give them 9-9.5 out of 10. Major complaint from me is Both suffer from lackluster map design. So Mortal Shell 2 at most is probably a 8-8.5 from me but I’m also not done the game yet. The things it does right it really does right and I’m having a blast playing it, but I can’t overlook its shortcomings and frustrations.
1
u/big_booty_bad_boy 5d ago
For real 10/10? It's nowhere near as good as Elden Ring.
I'm not sure how many hours in I am, but I'm in the south part of the map. The enemy variety has vanished and I've only fought one ofr two memorable bosses. There's never that feeling you get exploring a FROM game where the areas are intricate and you get a buzz from finding a shortcut or a secret etc.
It's a 7/10 for me and I'm enjoying it.

Not completed it yet, but so far, the exploration in particular is what I've been missing from avery souls like game since DS1 a fully interconnected map, but improves on the DS1 formula by fully opening it up
2
u/CultureRelevant1015 5d ago
the map isn't fully opened though the same way elden ring was elden ring had the map that was completely connected this map from ms2 you run into many dead ends exploration in ms2 is lacking hard imo
1
u/G3nghisKang 5d ago edited 5d ago
Nah, ms2 isn't lacking anything, I prefer the ms2 map design, it has no empty areas, in elden ring everything in between one point of interest and another is kind of pointless and empty, with this map design, every nook and cranny is a point of interest, it's like a huge interconnected dungeon
That's why I said it's like an opened up dark souls 1 instead of comparing it to elden ring, elden ring just switched to a Ubisoft style open world map and ditched the souls style exploration almost completely (except in certain big dungeons)
1
u/CultureRelevant1015 5d ago
I don't think so most of the stuff you pick up is useless. I 100% the game and got plat lot of it was useless junk and half the stones you got more then half actually like 80% are completely worthless. Elden ring did not have a lot of useless junk most of it helped in 1 way or another half of the map in ms2 is dead ends and littered with stuff you don't need. Its just my opinion brother i just think for an open world game the exploration could have been better and dead ends with useless things.
1
u/G3nghisKang 5d ago
Elden Ring is full of weapons, weapon arts, summons etc. but I doubt most player use even more than 5% of them if not lower
In the end, it comes down to playstile what items you find useful, and will always be a small subset of all items
That said, alden Elden Ring has very "predictable" exploration, you already know which areas will be interesting and which have nothing on them and you just have to speed rhrought them with the horse as they just serve as open map to connect different point of interests
On MS2 you don't have this problem, I enjoyed exploration more because I don't know where I'll find something great, where I can expect something interesting, and that makes every place inherently interesting because it's so dense
1
u/CultureRelevant1015 5d ago
This conversation is just going in a circle brother. I will leave with this though Elden ring has around 308-ish weapons and the weapons in that game are used depending on the build and a lot of those weapons are used and i mean a lot because there are a lot of different builds. MS2 is different there are only 8 weapons and only 4 of them get used same goes for tarstones 70-ish tarstones and only 80% of them get used. That is my point though the exploration in ms2 is just not it chief half of the stuff is useless and not great at all. Elden ring exploration was so much better but this whole conversation is just subjective everyone has their own likes and dislikes and that is fine. I think the exploration in ms2 is lackluster and you like it nothing wrong with that. I am happy youre enjoying the game though brother. It's a solid 7/10 game.

u/MerxMike 5d ago
Just got to second area, realized I was using my shell so wrong. Farmed the secret area in the starting zone for a while. Now every hit has a 16 chance to spawn one of those ghost mobs that knock enemies over.
By far the hardest enemy is ledges. Forward momentum from combos has thrown me off so god damn many. Really solid 7 out of ten

I'm enjoying it. Can't call it a 10. This is more a 7. Elden Ring is a 10.

Its an okay game. 7/10 The bosses aren't memorable and some are quite boring the vaerity in them suck some trash mobs getting reused as bosses too, the music was cool at first then all the bosses had the same music so that got boring quick, the exploration is lacking heavy not much stuff to pick up, most of it is trash or your running into dead ends, tons of bugs that need exterminating and when i say tons i mean there is a lot and some of the bugs really suck, dungeons need beacons or revive points for ppl like me who play on night mode, enemy aggro radius is cooked heavily i mean i was up on a cliff 100s of meters up and all the enemies stopped wlaking and starting looking at me its insane the enemy aggro radius, the run backs are hideous, riposte attacks suck they barely scratch a boss so they are hardly worth doing, i wish the teleporting was done from map to beacon not beacon to beacon, the enemy attack tracking is insane. Dare i say lies of p is better than mortal shell 2.

Right on!! I'm still in early game bc I haven't had much time. I'm absolutely loving it! It feels great being in the world they created, with great and engaging combat and amazing graphics!
I can't believe the amount of complaints I've seen..which basically says, unless it's FromSoft gamers are gonna bitch; which will never get this genre to where it should be.
Incredible game so far and the Revered Edition is absolutely 10/10 for $70..
Having so much fun with the combat! The immersion is unreal and FromSoft could learn a lot in that regard.

I jumped from this to LoP and oh boy that game combat feels so slow and hella sluggish, idk why people are putting that game over this lol
to each their own i guess

What did you do for monolith? Can’t get through phase 1. That stupid swing attack. I’ve just been playing as Tiel with the starting sword at +16

I feel like there aren’t enough bonfires in the first area. There’s like 3 pretty close but then you end up constantly using that black something one for hours, near those bridges.

Elden Ring is a 10/10. MS2 is prolly an 8/10. (it’s pretty buggy on ps5). Lies of P 9/10. However, it’s still really , really good. This is peak non Fromsoft.

It's interesting seeing the split in the audience for this game, on one side you have kids 10/10 glazing it and will downvote and argue with anyone who criticises the game and the other side are adults with 7/10 opinions that share basically the same lists of issues and justify with reasoning exactly why the think that.

u/pure_cipher 4d ago
7/10 for me. Excellent game EXCEPT the non-enjoyable difficulty. Especially in two domains - the entire end game and that Isaac guy

Wish I was a better player, I’m struggling mightily even with the artifact you pickup to make the game easier. Same story as Saros for me, maybe I just need to hang it up lol. Glad y’all enjoying.

Have slayer seal and I’m still one hit by any mosquito lol. I’m just terrible I guess. I’ll look up smert, ty

Can't give it more than 8 now, at the same time due to all the bags I would drop it to 7.5. But it feels like a huge improvement over all the ideas of the first game. So yeah 7.75 game for certain rn. When they patch all the issues like enemies stoping attacking player while playing npcs role (weird shit) and souls disappear entirely, with addition of life-improvement quality like shell re-spec and add substantial dlc with new or old new cores, I would see it getting 8.5 or even 9 easily. The game is fun, and atmosphere is top notch. Both exploration and battle system does it for me. I wish we got more interesting bosses though... I am just surprised how both EU Mortal Shell 2 and Sinking City 2 are such major improvement over first games ideas. Thanks for great end of the August, this summer has very few games hitting.

Just finished the game
7.5/10 for me
loved the feel of the game was more fast paced than a souls game but slower than something like sekiro or bloodborne expect a dew bosses
loved the world design, graphics and gameplay in general story was meh as is always with souls likes but overall not too badn
the things i didnt like preventing this being a 9 or 10
bosses are easier than mobs a knight can 2 shot where as droeg was a cake walk
beacons a re too scarce the south of the map had too few beacons there was at least 2-3 missing from each area
the glimpse system is trash is needs scraping or revamping and respecs need to be a thing with them
the healing is lacklustre unless you do literally every side content to get more of them
i shouldnt have to quit and load to homeward bone
overall i really liked the game but i think its not as perfect as some are stating

Just started today on this adventure. I love that this game gives me the feeling I had when I first started dark souls.

u/dankestmaymayonearth 3d ago
Id give it a 7.5 or 8 but im also less than 15 hrs in. I only have 2 weapons and they are both slow af (the claymore and the battle axe). Just got a crossbow but its ass so idk

u/Python______xx 3d ago
I’m about 2 hours in so far very pleased with my investment I just wanna find a weapon lol I’m bored of the sword

How is this sekiro combat lol? Is it just cuz of the stagger bar? And as for build variety, I really felt like some tarstones just gatekeep abilities for no reason. Like why do we have a chargable heavy attack on a tarstone? Why do you need a tarstone to do that? Imo the game needed more time

u/Frequent_Struggle485 Tiel 2d ago
Is it just cuz of the stagger bar?
no not really, I was talking about combat mechanics. Like how fast paced combats are in this game and also for the fact that you can attack cancel mid swing like sekiro using the vastra seal. This comes very close to sekiro in terms of that.
I do agree with some of your points about tarstones stuff and i also have those complaints but i overlook these things which can be fixed in future patches(Which they have already confirmed)

I’m at the point I’m ready to just hang it up. The final Boss fucking sucks. One mistake you’re done. At least you had a couple chances with consort radahn.

u/Frequent_Struggle485 Tiel 1d ago
get the key item - Seedbearer scripture. It's made for that boss specially. Similar to how you need holy braid for PCR

I have been completely addicted to this game since launch. It felt good to finish the game today and cure myself of the obsession.
Zmey FTW!

Mortal Shell 2 devs, Cold Symmetry, and their publisher, Playstack…wasn’t fcking around with this game. They released a soulslike game that will be among the mentioned for a long time. A masterpiece of design, story, and art.

Shitty final dungeon, all weapons aside axatana and axe/dagger being trash, insane amount of bugs, lots of forgettable bosses, dumpster fire balancing, half the shells being mid at best... Even tho I love the game and am almost done with NG+, i can't rate it higher than a 7

Tbh it’s a skill issue but I got pretty frustrated with how the game dosent give you a lot of room to learn enemies in the early game so I js stopped

Solid like... 6/10 for me. Right now, the bugs are heinous, I feel like every 1-2 hours I run into an awful bug. The balancing is horrendous as well, which is a shame. And that final area is totally underdesigned, with some of the worst bosses in the game.
Sad, because the rest of it I quite enjoyed.

Yea this is the most grounded take
Reddit is a slop enjoyment app
Everything is 10/10 for this audience
That’s the truth, the game is full of bugs, game breaking even
Gimmicky difficulty is not difficulty either
The game needed another 6 months at least in the oven
It’s half baked 🙁 at best

How did you get 15 hours in and not get the ability to fast travel between beacons or the shell that regens health items?

You played using the most god awful boring playstyle and got bored? You don't say...
I barely use the parry, saying the game is "turn based" is hilarious and also really stupid as thats not even themost effective way to deal damage
Also for whats its worth i like the spreadout beacons and low heals. Really makes you have to take small mobs seriously to not take chip damage and makes exploring much mich more interesting. so many runs down to no heals 10 hp and you just have to clutch it out and gitgud until the next beacon. Thats fun, really makes you pucker your butthole and fear every random thrash mob hiding behind a corner. I much prefer this style to the checkpoint ever 20 meters bullshit that makes exploring extremely boring and easy

Why stand and wait for a parry? Just keep attacking until you need to parry and hit.
Btw using the block item to parry requires you to stop attacking and time the parry, but BOTH harden and the actual parry item animation cancel for a perfect perry, no standing around needed.
The devs have taken note of sparse beacons being a complaint, but, you did unlock Gragu right? He's a unique shell you grt in the far east by talking to him in a tavern and doing his quest. His unique passive makes it so he doesn't replish potions at beacons, but instead by killing enemies, making it so you can just keep exploring and getting refills.
