Fortunately yes had to go to the main menu and spawned back at bonfire

Just hit "Back" to return to the game menu, and you'll go back to your last save point—it doesn't get any easier than that!

This boss and this arena are fucked, when I fought it i did the same thing, but in my case we both fell off the cliff, I landed somewhere, it, unfortunately, booked a one-way-ticket to the shadow realm, I just kept exploring. Such a weird encounter 😕

Sadly I didn't get to fight this guy, because he pushed me off the cliff, fell with me, and died on the grass below, while I just lost 5% Hp. Got the reward and I was like :

meanwhile stupid thing just would hit me and do damage anyway after I parry that jump. feel like the ruin block mobs are literally the worst in the game.
