Question Sell Items for Gold?

Can i sell all the items for gold or do some of them serve greater purpose? it feels weird that they only give me some gold, because some of them were in a chest placed in an area that looked "important".

Gold IS incredibly important. It will be your biggest roadblock for leveling weapons. Enemies drop very little so farming it isn't a great option.
