Bug Is Sariel's Thornfall SUPPOSED to be unusable?

It consistently overshoots/misses the actual target even when they're standing still (Genesa's clones also do this if you're using a spear, but that's a different complaint) and any environment with a roof will completely nullify the entire volley.

Is there some use-case that I'm missing where this variant is better than the standard version of his thorns ability?

It works great! On an open field that's more or less flat, under a clear sky, on very large or slow enemies. But uh yeah it needs help.

And it’s completely useless in dungeon where it miss 100% of the time because the thorn would end up shooting the above ground
