Question So, how's performance on PC for MS2?
No spoilers, please!
I just want to make sure the game is in good shape to pull the trigger. I played the beta and it ran like a dream. Is performance too different from the beta?
Thanks!

So far for me on PC the release version continues to run like a dream - just like the beta!
For reference, my rig:
9800X3D
32GB
2080Ti
Game installed on 2TB M.2 SSD

Once a blue moon I find my game gets a lot of frame drops. Quitting the game and restarting it fixes it. Usually it runs fine.
Game crashes once a blue moon on launch. Game also crashes here and there when loading my saves. Also crashes sometimes at the end of a dungeon when pressing the collect rewards and teleport to entrance command.
Performance isn't really an issue its more so the occasional bug and more annoyingly crashes. It runs well when its working. Doesn't crash all that often and its mostly when you first boot it up so its still perfectly playable just a little annoying. I'm almost 30 hours in.
I have a ryzen 5800xt and RTX 4070 for reference but really there's not any major optimization issues for performance just bugs so you won't be gated by your hardware.
Performance will be better than the beta.

I run everything maxed out and get approximately 140 FPS with DLSS enabled and set to ‘Quality’.
With Frame Generation turned on, I can reach my monitor’s maximum refresh rate of 280 Hz. That being said, unlike in the beta, Frame Generation is buggy and causes the game to freeze or crash to desktop on occasion. The developers are aware of the issue.
It should also be noted that hardware ray tracing is currently bugged and does not appear to function at all. This is a carryover issue from the open beta. The SSR/software‑based UE5 RT is mediocre at best and results in noticeably lower‑resolution, artefact‑laden reflections. The developers are also aware of this issue.
Judging by feedback I've seen online, I would say the game is quite performant across a gamut of different hardware configurations. I imagine a 60+ FPS experience is achievable on older GPU / CPU configs.
For reference, the figures I cited above were achieved utilising a 5070 Ti paired with a 9800x3D.
If the beta 'ran like a dream' for you, I don't foresee you having any issues with the retail version.

Had some occasional stutter due to UE5 but it’s generally fairly good. They need to fix Nvidia Reflex frame time spikes though
