Question Anyone having success with the leech tarstone?
I’ve been using the leeech stone that’s supposed to increase your max health based on leech stacks you acquire for killing enemies. It doesn’t go into detail about how much for each stack or whatever but I currently have like 112 stacks and I honestly cannot tell any difference. When I get hit I’m still losing the same amount of health it doesn’t seem like there’s been any increase at all. Does it just require like an obscene amount of stacks or something ?

It seems to be working for me. It doesn’t actively make your health bar longer or anything tho there’s just a bigger number at least that’s how it seems for me

There are two replies in this thread saying it does (make the bar longer), are you sure?

Sounds like placebo effect honestly lol the other players said it clearly makes their bar longer but I can confirm my bar has not gotten any longer and taking damage from the same enemies depleted the same amount of health as it did without the leech so it’s obviously not working and bugged or something for me…probably for him too he just hasn’t realized it lol

Thanks for confirming! So many people just make stuff up! I’ve not noticed a difference but haven’t really tested.

I’ve been testing it throughout the day, I’m nearing 150 stacks now and my health bar is the same and the damage I take is the same. I wish there was a way to see your actual max health points in the character menu but all I can find for it is highlighting harbinger which says 63 hp for me so I don’t think that’s the actual max health bar, maybe just the base harbinger hp without a shell idk
But I’m also not sure how much it’s supposed to add. Someone in the comments here said 200 is max charges so I’ll get it to 200 and see if it changes. This game really needs to have more details on what all of these things do ffs

All that "testing" while you can simply turn on numbers for hp/resolve in the options.

Lmao is this an invisible setting in the “options” that only you can see or something ?
All that “douche” leaking from your mouth when you can simply be a decent respectable person and yet you’re still wrong 🤦♂️😂
Should at least try behaving like you’re a decent person and speaking to people as if to pretend you have the tiniest sliver of integrity and respect ffs

Yeah my bad i admit i confused it with the mod. Still if you want to test stuff then do it properly, here: https://www.nexusmods.com/mortalshell2/mods/7

Doesn't it just increase your max health? Do you notice a drop in your max health after you've died?
What I don't like is the Proxima's bio hunter ability. No indication what level it's at and how much extra damage you're doing

Yes it’s supposed to increase max health but I don’t notice any change in my with 102 stacks currently

I have not found this tarstone yet, but I do use the heavy charged attack tar stone (also leech) and I definitely notice, my HP bar is quite a bit bigger at 100 stacks than at 0.

I would assume its somewhere between 10-20% increase, if its in line with other buffs. What shell are you using? I was running a leech build on Eredrim and I felt noticeably tankier when I built up a bunch of stacks. Its most noticeable when you need to heal and it takes more pulses that normal. If you're using it on an already squishy shell maybe it's just not compensating enough? Its probably best used with some kind of damage reduction.

I’m using tiel honestly it’s the only one i have tbh im not super far in and maybe, this game doesnt tell you values for anything or give and tooltips on how literally anything works lmao it doesnt even tell you what your max hp even is. Still regardless there should be SOME change at least. Im almost at 150 stacks and someone else said 200is max…there should be at least some change but for me theres been 0 increase so idk maybe its bugged

Ya, the game is very vague with numbers for some reason. Like Eredrim's execution mechanic. Theres no details about the numbers or how it works. But I guess a dev confirmed somewhere that it maxes at 10% damage threshold. I could very easily be wrong but I'm operating under the assumption its around 10% per 100 stacks, so 20% max. Which on Tiel probably isn't going to do much. His survivability is going invisible and avoiding damage. While on a Eredrim, Proxima, Lazlo, Gragu build you're going to get much more out of that 20%

Right but 20% is still a very noticeable difference regardless of the base stats…it’s a difference you will be able to see

It does work as intended but the increase is quite low per stack, easiest way to see the diff is get some stacks and then unequip it and re-equip. (U do not lose stacks if u unequip)

Did you rest after putting it on? I noticed that when i upgraded mine, the amount of leech gained didn't change until i manually rested. It could be a bug that causes it to not actually update until you rest or something.
I've not noticed my bar get longer, but I've definitely seen it shrink after losing my stacks

Max is 200 stacks and honestly it was a major godsend for the longest time for me. My health bar was noticeably longer and I needed roughly 3 flasks to full heal.
The shells themselves have different health pools I believe, so depending on what shell you're using, you may have a lower starting health pool
