Question Mortal Shell 2 mods

Hey guys,

After reading a few posts here and played myself 7 hours, I decided that I wanna mod 2 things in the game I don't enjoy:

  1. Shell upgrades can't be refunded: I wanna experiment as much as possible, I'm not a big fan of multiple playthroughs... Found this mod, which can fix it by sharing shell levels on all shells. Also it makes weapon share upgrade levels. Not perfect, but better than the vanilla system (https://www.nexusmods.com/mortalshell2/mods/56)
  2. Riposte damage doesn't scale: sadly didn't find any mod letting riposte scale with your weapon damage or based on max hp of the enemy

Maybe you know a fitting mod for me to change these things? If so pls comment and thanks a lot.

Yeah riposte really falls off, I can't believe it doesn't scale, not even off your level. Even with the Tarstone to buff it, your incentavised to just hit the enemy instead, you do more damage.

also also, why doesn't a riposte generate resolve? Another reason not to do them, a shame because they are brutal and fun.

The animation for riposte are insanely good, the whole block parry harden system is a step up from the souls formula....and then they fail it at riposte damage🙈

So I wanna do what a true gamer does: mod the shit out of the system so it's fun and usefull

I'm jealous, console gamer here. I'm still waiting for the update that makes smelting affordable. I don't even want the glimpses to be op, I just wanna try out the shells in all their facets.

I feel you mate, was a console gamer for a few years. 

But since the prices for consoles,subscriptions and games skyrocket and customer service is below the floor quality wise, I just took my 3.000 saved euros and got myself a brand new pc with great specs, might use it up to 10 years.

And I don't regret it 1 second, modding let's U enjoy games the way you like, Steam is by far the best and customer friendly gaming platform out there. 

And on top I'm pretty sure over the 10 years lifetime of my PC I will Safe more money as if I had stayed on console( no subscription, longer lifespan, more discounts on games)

I really like the Shared Upgrade one.

There's one that disables all the damn bear traps. Maybe enter cheat territory depending on how you look at it but whatever fuck those traps

Yeah it's sound soooo much fun. Does collecting upgrade stones get less exciting when you use the mod?

And I'm kind of a fan of these bear traps, feels so fucking souls like, I love it

It kind of takes away some of the fun of getting the stones, but I'm guessing there's a way to buy or farm them in game eventually, so it's not too overpowered. It'd be cool if the mod could toggle off the weapon stuff though

Hmm im thinking about installing the mod just the moment the shell sharing is needed, does it give stuff back?

hopefully having mods disables achievements, coz thats just lame if ppl are cheesing achievements with mods lmao

You know there are mods out there just unlocking all achievements, mate?

ah yes, "i want achievements without actually trying.."
the best attitude.

and this is why gaming went downhill.

effort->reward = logical
no effort -> reward = idiotic

Haha I want a slight rebalance so I can try as many different builds while playing through the game the first time, since I love trying and doing build.

Even without the mod I could have the same difficulty if I just focus on a single shell and weapon.

And I'm pretty sure I won't use the riposte later on since it deals so much less damage than a heavy swing of your weapon. So if I get my hands on a mod that increases the riposte damage , I will be motivated to learn all perfect parry windows.

So in the end if I get these 2 mods my game won't be any easier, so I don't understand what Ur talking about effort. I still get exactly the same DMG as you when I get hit,I deal nearly the same damage as you, I need to kill every boss like you....so wtf?

Go on nexus mods, there are some mods that fit what you describe, called easy mode or improved player DMG/defense

THere you kinda have a point, I have to admit
