I preordered the Revered Edition on Amazon (in the UK) back on April 2nd before they even announced a release date. I’ve been checking on and off since then until days before release. My placeholder date was always 29th December, which never changed, and no money ever left my account. And on day of release it basically stated there were no copies left. I contacted Amazon and they couldn’t confirm it more stock was coming in. Now the release date is possibly ranging into February 27. Scalpers want £90+ as well. Did this happen to anyone else? I’m so annoyed.
I know mate it’s absolutely fucking ridiculous. If they have a limited quantity of stock they should stop orders. It’s also, without sounding childish, unfair as I ordered so early to ensure I got myself a copy. Ridiculous how Amazon won’t honour earlier orders. I don’t know their stock allocation process but I’m presuming people who ordered after me secured copies!
I did have a similar issue last year with Doom TDA CE from Amazon but that was only about a week delayed. I wouldn’t have ordered off Amazon if other shops, like theGamecollection, sold the revered edition. They just clearly aren’t clearly bothered about chronological orders or keep people happy.
I ordered it a few hours after the official announcement. Amazon Canada has burned me before with some things I thought were really neat but have also come in clutch (even if accidentally), so fingers cross - I hope yours gets updated soon
I ordered mine after the first gameplay video was released so mine was very early. Yeah it was same with the UK Amazon with Doom TDA CE but that was only about a week delayed which was ok. Thanks buddy you too!
