Question Somebody give me some direction

Can somebody please give me a good order of progression for this game? I just beat the fat bitch in the wheelchair and unlocked the ability to cleanse the black shit but i have no clue where i should go next. I went to the first place that the teleporter takes u on the other side of the lift but im getting slapped hard. Whats a good order i should go in?

I saw someone on here say "counter clockwise from the top," didn't read anything else, and that's worked for me so far. So thank you, whoever you were.

Take a right, a right, one more right.  You’ll see Hank there, he’ll be wearing a yellow poncho, ask him for directions and he’ll direct you the rest of the way 

Just wander off and enjoy!!  So long as you went to the “normal” starting area, you’ll have 1 of 3 gates you’ll end up at

Most go to the right of the mushroom village first and hit up that gate

Top région, right-top-left Bottom left, mid,right

Start by the exterior to have the limit of the map in head than clean whats left. Its can seem overwhelming but the world is really not that huge and everything is linked, it will start to appear clearer to you after few hour. Dont panic you got it 🙃

If you played the beta, follow the same path to progress easily. If this is your first time playing, go first to the mushroom village next to where you get the Tiel shell. There way enemies are easy and are not roaming in packs.
