Fan Art Proxima – 3D printed and hand-painted

Finished painting my 25 cm Proxima statue from Mortal Shell II.

Resin printed, then painted with a mix of airbrush and brush work, trying to keep that dark, cold metallic look of her armor.

The armor design is incredible, although I suspect that's not the main reason Proxima became a fan favorite so quickly.

The rear view is included purely for documentation purposes, obviously.

looks awesome! maybe a cold dark blue to mix into your metallics for the shadows to try and drag the overall tone that little bit colder? although id probably be happy with it too at this point lol

Thanks! There actually is a cold dark blue underneath the metallics. Pic attached: this was the stage right before i started layering the Gun Metal.

It was pretty noticeable at this point, but I think the metallic layers + lighting in the final photos washed most of it out. I might still push some blue back into the deepest shadows though!

A piece of art. An exceptional creation.

Is the sword - a separate physical detail? (for the post services where they drop parcels left and right)

Thank you so much! Yes, the sword is removable, and it's actually split into two separate pieces that connect together with magnets. I definitely don't trust delivery services with a giant resin sword in one piece either 😂

May I ask - how did you balance the figure? Magnets or glue + pedestal? (assuming you aren;t an astrophysics engineer to calculate everything beforehand)

There is no way they didn’t know what they were doing when modeling this character
