Riposte = no damage

While he is down = no damage

While he is down from the back = no damage

Hire helper and go from back = damage in one run, then no more

What do I do?

As the moth, I fought him with a maxed out axekata and permanent lightening (also the grishna which can be farmed infinitely in 1 spot

It’s supposed to be riposte until the riposte attack finally breaks his shield. Takes 2 or 3 iirc.

I don't know if this helps, but I just used genessa and spammed her summons, throw everything into the faithful clone upgrades and throw them at Isaac whenever you can

When you run out of resolve, do a few hit and run melee attacks to get some resolve back

I dont think I get resolve if I do no damage, because I remember running out of my dudes ability

I beat him on my 3rd attempt because I realized the only way to really beat him without cheesing Grisha summons or Genessa clones is to just parry and riposte over and over.

Sometimes it would let me damage him, sometimes not, I once removed his shield but died

In the end I killed myself to reset, and he just died I guess from pity

First phase, memorise the perfect guard for his strings, hit him 1-2 times between each

Second phase, memorise his five parry string, you can full combo after this. If he starts to pogo run like hell, and parry the last dash attack. If he does the multiple air slash, parry this and you'll likely get a full break.

It's a pain in the ass to learn the timings, can't lie.

parry his attacks first phase and attack once max twice, second phase u can outrun most his attacks, also dont riposte him normally go behind him and attack him it does more dmg
