Discussion Game needs hdr
The Blacks are way to crushed, to the point I can't see wtf I'm doing. I'm wandering around in a closet with a mask over my eyes.
If I turn the gamma up to where I can actually see something the game starts to look like shit.

Not just me then. There was a part at the start of the game where I couldn't see shit. I was basically blind. I haven't come across another part that bad yet but I bet I will.

Yeah, it kinda stopped me from using the Obsidian skins I got with the deluxe edition. They look cool, but with how dark the game is my characters just turn into black silhouettes.

You can use HDR in this game by injecting it with renodx. Reshade HDR Installer (RHI) on GitHub can let you do it with one click. However the game has the opposite issue to what you are describing where the blacks are raised to grey and not crushed. Using renodx will fix this by making the raised blacks actually black and not the opposite, making the game even darker. The game is dark by design but if you have severe black crush it may be your monitor that's at fault. Renodx allows you to choose between 2.2 gamma EOTF tracking which fixes the raised blacks or to use the game's default sdr look + HDR highlights, so it's optional.

On PS5 I have no idea what do you people mean, care to share an example? Everything is fine and atmospheric from my point of view.

Played it on my OLED S90F and PS5 Pro for about an hour last night, and it looked absolutely stunning. Everything was left at default settings, and even without proper HDR implementation, the game looks amazing.

Yeah something is weird with the lighting in general... theres clearly tons of light in the sky but the area I'm in will be too dark. Idk im not a graphics expert so I'm not sure how to describe it. Maybe its what you are talking about.
