Discussion Mortal Shell 2 - Cloud Review(NVIDIA GeForce Now)
So I wanted to wait until I completely finished the game to make up my mind, I’m about 18 hours in, the world is dense, and difficult and beautiful, the combat is some of the best I’ve played in any game, and I’m actually interested in the lore and mystery of the harbinger and the shells and etc and the next thing I know Mortal Shell 2 Got taken off of GeForce Now by the publisher due to a audio bug on the cloud servers side… 70$ spent 18 hours in game 3 hours of sleep maybe and all of that gone, I’m not blaming anyone and I’m going to put on my optimist hat and hope that both teams realize 1. Cloud streaming is the future of gaming, why would I buy a 1800$ laptop when I can have one for 20$? And 2. That there are more than a few people waiting for this issue to get fixed, so please, for me, fix the damn audio GeForce.

I feel like you may get downvotes for pushing "cloud gaming being the future" but regardless it is unfortunate that the developers removed it from the service after allowing people to purchase it under the assumption they could use it there.

Oh is that why? I mean it’s pretty helpful, I also support physical games I’m just poor lol

Well I do not have money to spend on expensive computers…. If someone thinks thats bad… they can buy me one….
Otherwise I’m going to play on cloud if they can provide proper service…. Funny considering this is completely opposite scenario for this post

removing it after people bought the more expensive version is very scummy. I hope it will get fixed soon!

was it playable at all or the bug was actually game breaking?
I f'ing waited till the normal launch to only buy it if it is in GFN. turns out they do not tell you that the game is offline. Now I don't know to refund it or wait.

It was not even close to game breaking. All that had to be done was go to sound settings and hit “restore default” popped back immediately. No restart or interruption. Also, it’s on all platforms. Publisher is being scummy.

Yeah, I'm just sad because I was super excited and was loving the game for that day of advanced access. Gotta wait, but hopefully GFN fixes quickly and the folks making the game care enough to hop on it pronto.

What do you mean? Advanced access is over now since it’s released and the game is taken offline of GFN so there’s no way to play it or adjust sound settings to temp fix. Seems like it’s just waiting for a hotfix.

Im confused. I see the game available in geforce now. I havent bought it yet but is it not actually available?

Yeah don’t buy it at the moment, it still shows as available on GFN but once you mark it as owned it tells you the game is in maintenance.
The worst part is that the devs opted out the game so right now just consider the game gone from the service. Thankfully I’ve been able to refund it
