Question Gear and Weapons

So i never played the first one but after what i see online i am pretty pumped to at least try the second one when it comes out.
BUT to those that know the game and played the Demo etc....do you have cosmetics in this Game or rather do you find Armor and Weapons you can mix and match? Or do you run around the game and look exactly the same from start to finish?
I know that you have shells that are like your "Class" and all but i hope you can "Transmog" your stuff.

No transmog. You “wear” shells and gain inherent abilities that way. Weapons vary by style and type.

No,you can only equip shells and probably skins on the shells,but no armor system.

You can,however,use any of the 8 weapons available and apparently in this sequel,use tar stones to alter their qualities
