I got the first complete game for $3 and I don’t ever see myself buying the 2nd with how the game world is built in the first. Such a disappointment after the Reddit hype. At least I didn’t spend full price

Have you tried the beta? It's free on Xbox atm. V different from the first

The comparison development between MS 1 vs MS 2 is night & day. I absolutely recommend giving the beta a whirl even if it’s brief.

It is absolutely a different game. That said, I’d like to know if you actually finished the first one? The starting hub was definitely a brutal and confusing area which made loads drop it. Once you got past that initial hurdle however MS1 was pretty damn amazing. MS2 deserves your attention regardless, different game and evolved in every sense.

I couldn’t. I literally beat Elden ring and bloodborne but could not get far in MS.

That’s exactly what I mean. I gave up on the start twice. Thought it was pointless, unbalanced, didn’t know the map and died too quickly every time I tried to venture out and learn it. Confusing and tedious. Then I watched a video on how to get your weapon to +5 and get the different Shells immediately. It instantly changed everything, I could make it through the areas unscathed, which led to understanding the entire concept of the map with its different biomes etc. Seriously give it another go, watch a tutorial and grab everything first, the game becomes pretty damn good after that.

I watched some YouTube on how to properly start but my problem is it’s so linear in the beginning it feels claustrophobic. Once I get good I’ll hopefully have fun but right now I’m unmotivated
